This Spanish holiday town has also mananged to retain some of its charm from when it was once a small fishing village. The main square, Plaz de la Constitucion and the narrow streets that lead from it are probably the best to expore on your VillaPlus holiday. The 7km promenade leading from Carvajal to Torreblanca, Los Boliches and along the seafront to Fuengirola, now newly planted with palms and rubber trees and brightly lit in the evening, is one of the area's most pleasing additions. Fuengirola also has a busy commercial centre with great shopping and several flourishing weekly markets which attract visitors from miles around. Don't forget to explore the charming old town of Fuengirola centred around the church square. The beaches are clean and well organised, stretching from Carvajal right along to Fuengirola. Beach bars and restaurants can be found every 100 yds or so and most of the beaches around them offer sun beds and sun shades.
