ARRANGING YOUR OWN TRAVEL INSURANCE


There are many different travel insurance policies available, and you are welcome to make your arrangements. However, we would ask that you ensure that you check the cover carefully to make sure that it suits your needs. You should take a copy of your policy with you, and you should be aware of what your insurer expects you to in the case of a medical emergency, including the emergency telephone numbers.

What is the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS)?

MaPS is a free and impartial money advice service, set up by the Government to provide information and guides to help improve your finances. The MaPS travel insurance directory has been created for people who have potentially been refused cover, had cover excluded, or received a high additional premium in connection to their medical conditions, to allow them to shop around alternative providers.

Customers can purchase a standard policy through Villa Plus and but are required to declare existing medical conditions which may require an additional premium to be paid or an additional medical excess applied to your policy through tifgroup, which is a trading name of Travel Insurance Facilities Plc by contacting them on:  0203 829 6556 9am – 6pm Monday to Friday

POLICY EXCESS & PREMIUMS

You will have to pay £65 for any claim for cancellation (reduced to £25 when your claim is for loss of deposit only), abandonment, personal possessions, emergency medical expenses, curtailment or personal liability (this is increased to £200 when your claim is for damage to property).


Villa Plus Travel Insurance is underwritten by tifgroup, a trading name of Travel Insurance Facilities plc, and Insured by the UK and Ireland office of Union Reiseversicherung AG (URV).

Villa Plus is an appointed representative of tifgroup, and only offers travel insurance from a single provider. Travel Insurance Facilities Plc is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 306537).

URV is regulated by BaFin in Germany and subject to limited regulation in the UK by the FCA.
