EATCanarian cuisine is all about freshly caught seafood and tapas with a twist. Think mussels, monkfish, roasted goat and Canary potatoes with hot sauce. Take a trip to the charming village of Betancuria where you can try an island favourite - grilled Majorero cheese. This moreish, buttery cheese is made with Majorera goat milk and drizzled with local honey.
SEE Fuerteventura’s wind-rippled sand dunes have to be seen to be believed. Explore miles of them at the Corralejo Natural Reserve where you’ll find sweeping golden dunes and colourful volcanic terrain. Or, hop on a boat and take the 15-minute trip to Fuerteventura’s little treasure – Isla de Lobos. Here you can hike up Cauldron mountain and around the picturesque salt water lagoons, and enjoy a picnic on the beach.

a dune buggy or quad bike across the island’s volcanic landscape. For something completely different, pay a visit to the island’s unique museums. There’s a salt museum where you can explore sea salt mines, an aloe vera museum dedicated to the trendy plant remedy, and even a Majorero cheese museum.
