The charming hilltop town of Mijas is just 10 minutes' drive away, with whitewashed houses, cobbled streets and a great selection of restaurants and local bars. 25 minutes' drive in the opposite direction will take you to the bustling resort of Fuengirola, with its long sandy beach, array of shopping centres and some excellent restaurants.
