Villa Description
Swimming pool, pool terrace and sunbathing area

The outside space is bright and spacious, with plenty of sunbeds scattered on artificial grass. The large swimming pool has a sunken seating area where you can relax with a good book or cool drink. There is also an alfresco dining area overlooking the pool and distant mountains, plus a brick BBQ to the side of the villa.


Entrance

From the street, an uphill driveway leads you to the villa's parking area and then 9 steps up to the villa entrance.


Living space

The bright and airy living and dining room has vibrant furnishings, a feature fireplace and also offers a balcony where you can enjoy views across the Mijas mountains.


Kitchen

You'll have a modern, fully-fitted kitchen complete with a central island. Double doors lead out to the alfresco dining area while a separate door provides access to the BBQ at the side of the villa.


Bedrooms and bathrooms

All bedrooms are light and spacious with contemporary furnishings. On the ground floor you will find a double bedroom with access to the balcony by the living room. There is also a twin bedroom with patio doors leading out to the pool terrace. These bedrooms can make use of a separate shower room on this floor.

On the first floor is a hallway with patio doors leading out to a large balcony. A twin bedroom on this level also has access to the large balcony. You'll find another twin bedroom on this floor with a small balcony, plus a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom and 2 balconies offering lovely views. There is a also a separate shower room on this floor.

Air conditioning/heating

In line with local energy saving initiatives, the villa has timed air conditioning on all units from 17:30 to 19:30 and from 21:30 to 09:00.

This villa has applied for a licence with the Junta de Andalucia and the application number is CTC-2019169107. The licence number will follow.

Villa Location
Situated in the upmarket area of Sierrezuela, the villa enjoys an excellent location away from the hustle and bustle with a few shops and cafes a short drive away. The bustling town of Fuengirola, with its long sandy beach and an array of bars and eateries to choose from is less than 10 minutes' drive from the villa. With easy access to the main roads of the Costa del Sol, day trips to interesting cities such as Malaga, Cordoba and Granada are also possible. Our villa Yaiza Sol is nearby.

Location features

Local markets and shopping

The area has 2 large commercial centres along with an array of local shops along the Fuengirola main street. The resort is also home to a large colourful market each Tuesday, and a visit to the market at La Cala de Mijas, 20 minutes' drive away is perfect for stocking up for a BBQ at the villa.


Bars and restaurants

There are a couple of restaurants and bars nearby that can be reached in a few minutes' drive. For a wider selection, try the centre of Fuengirola which has an endless array of tapas bars, trendy restaurants in quaint, traditional squares and an assortment of fish restaurants lining the sea front.


Beaches

The sandy beaches of the region are well maintained with most offering sunbeds and parasols to hire. Fuengirola is one of the more popular beaches in the area, but there are many more to choose from. A short drive will take you to the beach at Cala de Mijas or onto Cabopino with its long sand dunes and restaurant lined harbour.


Family fun

The Costa del Sol has a great selection of family theme parks, such as Mijas water park in Fuengirola, great for a family day out. Or, 10 minutes' drive away is the butterfly park of Benalmadena. Tivoli World is an attraction park with cable cars that climb up into the mountains where you can experience amazing views of the coastline and the distant North African coast.


Places of interest

Great days out include a trip over to the Rock of Gibraltar, ideal for shopping or sightseeing. Malaga also has an array of historical attractions and an impressive Cathedral, as well as excellent shopping. Or if you fancy a true Andalucian experience, the cities of Granada and Cordoba, a little further afield, are steeped in Moorish history.


Golf

The Costa del Sol is renowned for its extensive selection of golf courses. Closest to the villa are the championship Mijas golf course, La Cala golf resort and Santana golf club, with plenty more options along the coast.


Other activities

From the marina at Fuengirola or La Cala de Mijas, you will find a great selection of watersports from pedalos to jet skis. There are also many boat excursions that depart from Fuengirola - a great way to see the beautiful coastline.

Activity
Gibraltar Tour
The only way to discover Gibraltar is to have your own guide who knows the history, the flora and fauna, the legends, and where to take the best photographs. The Gibraltar Taxi Association runs an Official Rock Tour of 1 ½ hours duration and you can pick up the taxi at the border or at any rank.

You will visit many fascinating historical sites including the Great Siege Tunnels as well as the apes, Cable Car and much more with optional stops negotiable with the driver. Don’t just go to shop, tour the Rock and come away with a little bit of history.
Activity
Granada
Granada is best explored on foot and has its Moorish past evident at every turn. Any visitor will be impressed with the breathtaking snow capped Sierra Nevada, the magnificent Alhambra, the old Moorish quarter of Albaicin with its maze of narrow steep cobbled streets and elegant villas and the famous Sacromonte Abbey, high up on the hill, its gypsy caves and flamenco sounds. The centre is full of historical buildings of great interest and beauty and a visit to this hospitable city should be on your itinerary. From Malaga take the N331 following signs to Granada and exit on to A92.

Mijas Golf
The two courses at Mijas Golf, Los Olivos and Los Lagos are challenging enough to satisfy players of all levels. Los Olivos is surrounded by olive trees in an attractive setting is fairly level and not too difficult while Los Lagos is on more hilly terrain with water hazards and consequently more difficult. Mijas Golf is the venue of many tournaments and benefits too from the Luxury Byblos Hotel right next door – a perfect spot for a golfing weekend. Watch out for the 5th hole of Los Lagos, with an enormous lake to the right of the green and a curving freeway to the left. Parque Acuatico Mijas
One of the most popular water parks on the coast is the Mijas Aquapark where the Adventure River ride, a 300ft winding raft slide awaits you.

Try surfing the wave pool or the huge kamikaze slide, bathe in the clear blue waters of the lake, or enjoy the twists and turns while speeding through the labyrinth slide to the pool at the bottom.

For young children and tiny tots Aqualandia has two water playgrounds and a shallow activity pool. All this set in lush gardens with a variety of sports facilities, great restaurants, picnic and bbq areas.
