Villa Location
This beautiful villa is set down a lane on the lower slopes of the Montgo National Park. This location offers good access to both Javea or Denia and Jesus Pobre (being the closest). The sandy Arenal beach in Javea is a short drive and is one of Europe's blue flag beaches and has many restaurants, bars and shops. Villa Badowa is in a great location so you can make the most of the popular resorts that are close by.

Location features

Local markets and shopping

There are several markets in the area, with the Sunday market in Jesus Pobre being the closest and offers a great selection of local and organic products. There are also markets in Denia on Monday mornings and in Javea's old town every Thursday. By the church is a further daily indoor food market with many locally sourced items (mornings only). There are several supermarkets in Javea and plenty of independent shops selling clothes, jewellery and souvenirs. During the summer months stalls are set up on the promenade of the Arenal beach for artesan craft sales.

Bars and restaurants

Javea is split into 3 areas: The Port, Arenal and the old town. You will find many bars and restaurants in all 3 areas offering a wide variety of cuisine to choose from. Denia is a larger town with more bars, restaurants and a couple of nightclubs.

Denia offers huge stretches of sandy beaches, where you can choose to be close to the action or be away from it all. Javea offers the gently sloping sandy beach of the Arenal or a plethora of rocky and stony coves to explore and enjoy.

Family fun

If you're looking for something sporty or just want to relax, then there is something here for everyone, from tennis or go karting to relaxing in a bar watching the impromptu beach volleyball. You can also play a round of crazy (or normal) golf. Karting Javea also has a restaurant, a pool and a bouncy castle. Or why not try Paris 24 where you can have lunch and a dip in the pool or play tennis or paddle tennis.

Places of interest

The pretty village of Jesus Pobre is worth a visit on a Sunday when the market is trading. Javea's old town is worth a wander around. Pop into the museum and climb up to the roof terrace for amazing views over the town towards the sea. Denia is also worth a visit to its ancient castle or stop for a cool drink down its tree lined Main Street. You can also catch a ferry from here to Ibiza or round to Javea and back.

There is a golf club open to the public near Benitachell (remember to bring your handicap card) or crazy golf near the Arenal beach. There is also a golf course at the Marriott Hotel and Spa just a few minutes' drive away.

Other places of interest and activities

From villa Badowa there are plenty of walks right on your doorstep, along marked routes (pick up a guide from the tourist information office). It's best not to climb in the height of the season as it's just too hot.

Every villa comes with its own manual, complete with details of the best restaurants, taxis, local amenities and activities. And of course, our reps are on hand to make sure you love your holiday more. If you need any advice or tips on the local area, they will be more than happy to help.

Activities and things to do
Jesus Pobre
Jesus Pobre is a charming old Spanish village with whitewashed villas set down small lanes. There is an excellent market on a Sunday (mornings at some times of year and afternoons at others to be advised locally) offering local produce some of which is organic and the best homemade lemon meringue pie, but get there quick as it sells out fast. Cakes, wine, music and all sent under a pretty building with open arches on all sides.

Horseriding has a long tradition in Spain. Influenced by the Moors, a special kind of riding style has developed in Spain and is famous across the world. Whether you are a beginner or already an intermediate rider, you will find whatever suits you, Club Hipic Benissa Plaça Rei Jaume, 11 03720 Benissa Telephone: 0034 965 731 832 Riding school and rides into the surrounding area Los Caballos Buscarrons Norte, 30 03779 El Poblets, Denia Telephone: 0034 966 475 177 Swiss management, offering riding lessons and rides into the surroundings countryside.

Within easy reach of all the resorts via the excellent road network, Aqualandia in Benidorm is FUN so the kids will love it, which means that parents will too! Assorted shutes / springboards / pools / rapids / waterfalls and black holes (that's right, black holes, but don't worry, 'cos you go in two at a time) will satisfy all members of the wet set. Themed areas planted with trees and shrubs house the Pistas Blandas, the Laguna, Niagara, Splash, the Big Bang... and the Kamikaze. But if they sound a bit too demanding, don't worry, there are gentle options for everyone. Bars, shops, restaurants, showers and lockers etc are all available.
Club de Golf Javea
Situated 60 miles from Alicante on the way to Valencia and sheltered from the wind by Cape San Antonio, this course has a perfect microclimate all year round and is located in a wonderful natural setting surrounded by pinewoods.
