The shingle Playa Enramada Beach is also just a 5 minute stroll from your villa, perfect for lazy days on the beach. La Caleta village is the last resort on the coast of Costa Adeje and retains much of its traditional charm. You'll be well based for exploring the rest of the island, with the larger resorts of Fanabe and Las Americas both less than 15 minutes' drive away.

Location features

Bars and restaurants

Villa Roma is ideally located at the heart of the village, with a great selection of busy restaurants. La Caleta is well known for its fish restaurants, where you can enjoy delicious seafood whilst admiring the wonderful sea views. For a greater choice, head to one of the larger resorts.

Local markets and shopping

In the village there is a small collection of shops, a few cafes and a mini-market, all within easy walking distance. Or head to Fanabe, where you will find a weekly market for local produce and souvenirs, as well as a shopping centre with a good selection of shops.

The shingle beach of Playa Enramada is only a short stroll from Villa Roma, or the large sandy beaches of El Duque and Torviscas are less than 10 minutes' drive away. If you are feeling active, you can join the coastal promenade at Playa Enramada and walk to these beaches.

Family fun

You'll have a choice of 2 waterparks both only 10 minutes' drive away. Aqualand is in the nearby resort of Costa Adeje and the famous Siam Park, along with the new shopping and leisure centre, Siam Mall, is in Playa de Las Americas.

Places of interest

La Laguna, Tenerife's second most important city and former capital of the island until 1723, is well worth a visit. The city is full of interesting buildings, elegant churches and an impressive cathedral. Or why not take a day trip to Teide National Park? Take a cable car to the top, or if you're feeling active you can walk up the trails, and admire the stunning views.

Costa Adeje Golf course is only a 5 minute drive behind the village, offering stunning sea views.

Other activities

Bike riding is popular, as is tandem paragliding over the mountains and down to the beach.

Activities and things to do
Siam Park - Water Kingdom
Set in a tropical oasis which reflects the ancient kingdom of Thailand, you can enjoy some of the most breath-taking water rides ever created by man. The park has a manmade beach, plenty of rides, cafes and restaurants, lockers and shops are available. Exit 29 TF1. Playa de las Americas.

Set in San Eugenio area of Playa de las Americas is the original Aqua Park of Tenerife, recently added children's attractions, slides and rides, and plenty of sunbeds, the park has a cafeteria, bars and lockers, and a free Dolphin show in the afternoons.

Costa Adeje Golf
Golf Costa Adeje is surprising because it is superbly adapted to its surroundings. Pepe Gancedo designed an unusual layout respecting the old farm terraces that slope down to the sea framed by the original dry stone walls. With really beautiful views of the ocean, the island of La Gomera and the rugged Adeje Mountains, this unique golf course features 27 holes on wide greens and obstacles such as gorges and lakes. The pleasant and spacious Club House has large terraces and a central courtyard. An unusual feature is the lift which takes you down to the driving range in your buggy.

Teide National Park
The highest peak in Spain standing at 3718 metres, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, is an absolute must. Beautiful and grandiose, it will make you feel very small.

The Teide National Park in the centre of the island of Tenerife, shelters the best example of the supra-Mediterranean vegetation level. The Mount Teide National Park offers one of the most spectacular examples of volcanism in the world. This National Park, is the largest and the oldest of the National Parks of the Canary Islands. This natural area is surrounded by the Corona Forestal Nature Park, the largest protected natural area of the Canary Islands.

Part of the route can be done by cable car allows anyone, no matter what their physical condition is, to make the scent. The more adventurous can ascend on foot by the path that leaves from the area on Montana Blanca, next to the road. The cable car service, which runs every day if the weather conditions allow, reaches the area known as the Rambleta. The rest of the ascent, must be made on foot. Access to the peak (along the Telesfero Bravo path) is restricted and you need to apply for a permit to reach the summit whether you are on foot or going by cable car.

Permits can be applied for in person, by post, fax or email to the Administrative Office of the Teide National Park, located in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (permits cannot be granted in the park itself).

If you do not have a permit, you are allowed to go in the direction of the viewpoints for the Fortaleza and the Pico Viejo using other paths that leave from the Rambleta. These offer excellent views.

La Laguna
La Laguna is Tenerife's second most important city. It is the old Capital of the Island (until 1723) and situated just inland from Santa Cruz in the Aguere Valley amid a beautiful countryside. It is also the cultural and religious Capital, due to the fact that it lodges the San Fernando University and the Bishop's Palace. The whole city is full of outstanding architectural monuments, palaces and traditional houses of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Among its religious buildings the most outstanding are the Cathedral, the Santo Domingo Church and the Church of Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion - this latter one has a fine Mudejar carved wooden ceiling and an exceptional Baroque wooden pulpit from the 18 century. One can also find the Church of the Holy Christ and the San Miguel Chapel.

History and art in La Laguna are to be found in the Casa Ossuna Museum, the Friends of the Country Economic Society Museum, the Concepcion Church's Museum and the Cathedral's Museum.

Villa Roma was lovely, an unusual layout but good. Villa really handy for excellent restaurants and lovely walks, really quiet on a night although a bit noisy early morning. Would certainly use this villa again. Villa rep Vicky was amazing! Thank you.

John Hamilton, 25-Oct-2014

Good size, nice rooms, central location, as described. Directions were good, we found the villa easily, there was a helpful folder and map available and the Rep was very pleasant and helpful. Mid-week towel change was nice to have, the pool was clean, etc. Super to have a pool table, the 16 year-old boys made good use of it!

Anne Lewis, 13-Sep-2014

The villa was spacious for 4 people, the lounge was a good size and the terrace very pleasant with nice views, we went up there for an evening drink and to enjoy the view. Very close to the harbour, beach and the few restaurants and taxi and the bus stops right outside the villa.

Dominick Peter, 06-Sep-2014

The villa was perfect! The location is great, quiet in the evening with a few restaurants around, but close enough to the 'party' areas of the idea. The taxi stop is right outside the villa, making it that much easier to obtain one. There are several close beaches as well. The pool is great, very clean and a very good temperature. The kitchen is well equipped, and has all you need for a nice meal in, especially with the BBQ upstairs. Overall, an absolute gem!
