Villa Description

Swimming pool, pool terrace and sunbathing area

Outside, Villa Lisa has plenty of space surrounding the private swimming pool. There is a covered seating area where you can relax and take a break from the sun with a cool drink. Plus, there is another shaded terrace housing a table and chairs and brick BBQ - perfect for alfresco dining. The garden area is scattered with colourful flowers and exotic plants and is fully enclosed.

Entrance

From the private parking area, the terrace leads to the front door.

Living space and kitchen

The open plan living area has comfortable seating, a flat screen TV and a dining table and chairs, plus patio doors opening onto the pool terrace. The well-equipped kitchen is adjacent and has a smaller breakfast table and views over the garden. There is also a utility room next to it.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

A twin bedroom and a separate shower room are on the ground floor. At the end of the hall is the staircase leading to the first floor and remaining 2 bedrooms. There is a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom and patio doors onto a private terrace overlooking the swimming pool. The twin bedroom has an en suite bathroom. All 3 bedrooms have plenty of storage space.

Villa Location

Villa Lisa is centrally located in Corralejo. In 10 minutes, you can walk to Bahia Real Beach and El Campanario Shopping Centre, and Acua Waterpark is 10 minutes further. Plus, there is a mini market and restaurants 5 minutes on foot. The stunning beach of Grandes Playas and Corralejo Sand Dunes are less than 10 minutes' drive away. Our Villa Bali is nearby.

Local markets and shopping

There is a mini market within 5 minutes' walk and El Campanario Shopping Centre with its high street fashion, designer shops and supermarket is 5 minutes further. It even has live music while you shop! Many more shops can be found on the main promenade of Corralejo. There is a local market on Tuesdays and Fridays. Best to get there early as it is very popular.

Bars and restaurants

There are restaurants 5 minutes' walk from Villa Lisa with more choice in El Campanario Shopping Centre, 10 minutes' walk away. In the resort centre, there is a large selection of bars and restaurants to cater for everyone's taste. You can try everything from traditional Canarian cuisine to Chinese and Indian restaurants. If you are after local food, there are some good restaurants in the harbour area. Alternatively, if you prefer to stay in, many of the restaurants offer home delivery.

Beaches

The closest beach to the villa is Bahia Real Beach, near the Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahia Real.
Alternatively, there are beaches in the resort centre - Waikiki and Galera - approximately 10 minutes' drive away, or 25 minutes on foot. Plus, a 10 minute drive takes you to the spectacular beaches of Flag and Grandes Playas which are famous amongst windsurfers.

Family fun

The Acua Waterpark is 5 minutes' drive away and has water slides, water jets and fountains, plus a selection of pools both shallow and deep, a wave machine, a jacuzzi, water rings, floats and games.

Places of interest

El Cotillo is a small little fishing village and is dedicated to the virgin of good travel (Virgin de Buen Viaje) and these words can be seen painted on the cliffs in the old harbour. This is truly the surfing and windsurfing Mecca of the island. These monster waves have even been known to sink some of the small fishing boats that are moored there. Many experienced surfers head to the beaches of El Cotillo and those between El Cotillo and Corralejo because of these conditions.

Golf

If you fancy a game of golf, Mirador de Lobos Golf Resort is 10 minutes' drive away. Alternatively, there are other golf courses in Caleta de Fuste located on the East Coast just after the airport.

Other activities

Fuerteventura has a lot of natural beauty and if you head towards the resort of Lajares you can join in with any of the hikes and tours where you can make the most of the islands' beautiful scenery.

Activities and things to do

Acua Waterpark

Acua Waterpark (formally known as Baku Park) in Corralejo offers a variety of water slides and tubes, water jets and fountains, a selection of pools and lakes both shallow and deep, a wave machine, a jacuzzi, water rings, floats and water games. There is also a crazy golf course and bowling alley.

The park is open throughout the summer season from April to October each year and is a great family day out!

Crazy Golf

Crazy Golf is located at the Acua waterpark in Corralejo. They have a full size crazy golf course to the rear of the waterpark.

There is another Crazy Golf course situated at the Plaza in Corralejo and there are 2 excellent courses at Caleta de Fuste, open to visitors and operated by the Barcelo Hotel, along the beach promenade.

Go Karting

Gran Karting Fuerteventura can be found on the outskirts of Puerto Del Rosario on the east coast of the island. The track is open every day and the facilities cater for all ages. The centre also has a restaurant/bar and a sun terrace with views over the sea and the 1km track.

Sensible shoes/trainers are required.

Horseriding

Granja Tara, next to the windmill at El Roque, near El Cotillo, is a horse rescue centre offering excursions and riding lessons for all levels from beginners to experts and is open all year round.

Kite Flying

Kites are available in many shops in Corralejo. The expansive sand dunes and golden beaches are perfect for kite flying.

The International Kite Festival is held on the second weekend of November for 3 days and has been an annual tradition since 1987. People come from all over the world to take part in the event and admire the average 240 kites on display.

Oasis Park Zoo

The Oasis Park Zoo, located south of the island in La Lajita, is about 1hr30mins from Corralejo by car, or there is a free bus service, and is well worth a visit - great for a family day out!

The zoo has a variety of animals, animal shows, a childrens' play area and a super gift shop as well the Botanical Gardens. A wide selection of restaurants and snack bars are also available.

Camel safari rides, interactive animal sessions and even a large enclosure with free flying birds are sure to be a hit with all ages.

Sand Sculpting

The Sandman is located on the main beach in Caleta de Fuste, 28 miles south of Corralejo. You can book lessons directly with the Sandman on the beach and try your hand at creating your own sand sculptures.

Donkey Riding

Donkey rides and donkey cart rides are available at the donkey sanctuary in Villaverde, near Corralejo. A safe experience for children and the whole family.

Corralejo Golf Course

The Corralejo Golf Course was officially opened on the 8th June 2009. This 9-hole course is set on high ground towards the outskirts of Corralejo town, next to the Bahia Azul resort villas and ‘Mirador de Lobos Golf’.

There are plenty of challenges to be encountered over its 673 metres, even for the more accomplished golfer, with three holes affected by water and others require very accurate hitting from tee to green.

With views both to the sea and the dunes of the Parque Natural, and boasting its own fresh-water lake, this well-maintained course is designed to provide pleasure for both the novice and seasoned player alike. The perfect place to spend a couple of hours on a round of golf, or just to become familiar with the game and meet new friends.

Las Salinas Golf Course

This is very well set up as a course that is ideal for holidaymakers, as well as experienced golfers, as it is slightly less challenging than the other courses on the island.

It is a par 70 course designed by Manolo Piñeiro, twice world champion golfer. The course has amenities including a club house, pro shop with buggy, trolley and club hire, a cafeteria, restaurant and changing rooms with showers and lockers.

Wide and in perfect condition is the putting green area, it has the same characteristics as the 18 holes from the golf course.

The driving range and practise bunker are great for warming up.

Fuerteventura Golf Club

This is an excellent course which hosted the Spanish Open Tournament in 2004.

Despite the constant Canarian sunshine and little rain, the golf course has beautiful greens but the winds provide a challenge for all golfers. There are 3 lakes and other natural hazards.

The golf course also boasts a clubhouse, the Elba Palace Golf Resort Hotel, which homes the pro shop and the resident PGA professional. It has a driving range, chipping area, practice bunker and putting green.

Las Playitas Golf Course

Las Playitas is a challenging 18 hole golf course set amongst the hillside leading down to the Atlantic Ocean. The Golf course boasts beautiful greens and many water features throughout the course.

There is a driving range, for around 30 golfers. The pro here is British PGA professional Murdo McCorquodale who speaks English, Spanish and German. The golf course at Las Playitas Golf course is just a few moments away from Gran Tarajal.
