 Villas in Balearic Islands

Take an unforgettable holiday to the Balearic Islands and enjoy beaches and coves, historical attractions, local fiestas, waterparks and fantastic scenery. Our villas in Balearic Islands provide the perfect base camp for you to discover tasty places to eat and drink, from simple beach cafes to high-end restaurants. Take the time to appreciate the food and craft markets which pop up in the summer, too, as well as the boutiques found in the larger resorts.

Majorca is the largest Balearic island and offers attractions to cater for most tastes, from traditional old towns to stylish modern marinas, with a shedload of huge sandy beaches in between. Our villas to rent here are located on both the north and south coasts, with regional highlights including the municipality of Pollensa, which comprises a Romanesque town nestled beside a stunning bay. Otherwise, the town of Alcudia combines neo-Gothic architecture with popular Mediterranean beaches where you can top up your sun tan.

Menorca has a more relaxed vibe. Almost every single resort has a sandy, family-friendly beach, while the island also has three waterparks and a zoo to keep the children entertained in the summer. The capital, Mahon, and former capital Ciutadella, are both worth visiting for shopping and dining opportunities, scenic hotspots and the water sports facilities on offer.

Both Menorca and Majorca also have growing food scenes, and during the summer you can enjoy tapas and live music in many of the resorts. During the day, relax on one of dozens of beaches, including some accessible only by foot or boat, should you fancy a little adventure before returning to your holiday rental.

Best for…

  • Majorca’s verdant mountains
  • Sandy Menorcan beaches
  • Fanciful Majorcan architecture
  • Fun-packed waterparks
  • Fresh Majorcan seafood
  • Summer fiestas

Balearic Islands Climate and When to Visit

During the summer months, the islands are perfect for families. Aside from the fantastic beaches, there are various waterparks to visit where you can keep cool – bear in mind that the temperatures around July and August can exceed 30 degrees Celsius! Of course, you can always find shade by the side of your villa rental’s private pool, too. Come summertime in Menorca, there are fiestas celebrating the beautiful Menorcan horses. These festivals are a particular highlight of many holidays here and a great opportunity to mix with the locals.

Majorca and Menorca are also suited to visits earlier and later in the year when it is slightly cooler, making for more comfortable temperatures to explore old towns and cultural sites in. Plus, both islands have picturesque nature reserves popular with both walkers and cyclists Birdwatchers can also marvel over migratory birds in spring and autumn.

Villa Plus in Balearic Islands

Whether you want to be right in the heart of the resort, by the seaside or in a more secluded countryside property, we have suitable villas to rent in central and rural locations across Majorca and Menorca. The beauty of Menorca’s small size is that everything is within easy reach – it only takes an hour to drive from one side of the island to the other! Many of our rentals have everything you’ll need for an unforgettable villa holiday close at hand. Both islands have a good network of roads, too, so hiring a car to get out and about can be hugely enjoyable.

The holiday resorts in Majorca are slightly more spread out, but you’ll still find that many of our villas are close to a beach. Our resorts in both Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia have huge sandy bays, while Cala D’or has seven great beaches all within a 1-mile radius. We also have a wide selection of countryside villas, complete with wonderful views of the rolling hillside and mountains and still only a short drive from amenities and attractions.

In Menorca, you’ll find plenty of resorts well suited to family holidays as well as quieter areas for a more romantic getaway. If you’re partial to sunny beaches and sheltered coves, then book a rental in Calan Forcat, Calan Blanes or Calan Bosch. For serene views near looming limestone cliffs, consider staying in a rental in Calan Porter. It’s one of Menorca’s oldest resorts and home to facilities your kids will love, like tennis courts and play parks.

For something a little quieter, stay in Es Canutells. The resort has a distinctly less developed feel – you won’t find any sun loungers here – and gives visitors an authentic taste of Majorca which they’ll really relish. Otherwise, enjoy a stay by the eastern resort of S’Algar, home to palm-lined promenades and sweeping views out to sea.

Kids will love splashing in the sea or in the villa’s private swimming pool, plus the majority of our properties also have WiFi so they can keep in touch with their friends at home. Many of our villas to rent also have pool heating, if you prefer to visit during the cooler months.
