Villa Description

Swimming pool, pool terrace and sunbathing area

The pool area and garden are located on the lower level of the property and are easily accessed from the ground floor terrace via a set of steps. There´s a fantastic BBQ area at one end making it the perfect spot to enjoy alfresco meals. There's plenty of space for loungers both around the pool and on the covered terrace so you'll be spoilt for choice with places to relax. From the pool terrace a few steps lead down to lawned area, scattered with trees, offering a shaded spot to relax.

Please note the pizza oven is not for customers use.

Entrance

The main door opens into the entrance hall where there is a WC and spiral staircase leading up to a double bedroom and down to the lower floor. Glass paned double doors lead into the dining area.

Living space

There is a bright and airy lounge area adjoining the dining room with comfortable seating and a flat screen TV. Doors from both rooms lead to an outside terrace overlooking the pool and garden.

Kitchen

The sleek modern kitchen is situated on the ground floor and offers all of the mod cons. Conveniently, it is located adjacent to the dining room and terrace. A utility room with washing machine and an extra fridge can be found on the lower level, by the poolside, handy for storing drinks and food for the BBQ.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

All 5 bedrooms in Villa Xoric are tastefully decorated, each with an en suite shower room and either a balcony or terrace. The first floor is dominated by 1 double bedroom with a wraparound balcony to make the most of the impressive sea views. On the ground floor there is 1 twin and 1 double bedroom, with a further 2 twin bedrooms on the lower floor, as well as a sitting area.

Villa Location

Villa Xoric is located on a corner plot and is a short walk from the picturesque sweeping cove of Son Xoriguer. There's also a small commercial centre with, shops, a mini market and restaurant nearby. The heart of Calan Bosch is at the beautiful marina, ¾ mile away - surrounded by eateries and shops coupled with a great view over the bobbing boats. It's an ideal spot to sit and enjoy a refreshing cool drink and watch the world drift by.

Local markets and shopping

The resort offers a selection of shops and mini markets. The magnificent old town of Ciutadella is a short drive or bus ride away. It has a daily fresh market, displaying locally grown fresh produce, which is well worth a visit. The market also offers butchers and at the heart of the market is a group of fresh fish stalls. The main square hosts a twice-weekly gypsy style market in the high season. The cathedral and town palace are an interesting diversion from shopping and in the centre of the old town.

Bars and restaurants

The marina is surrounded with a wide selection of restaurants, bars and small shops. Some of the bars offer live entertainment and it´s a great place to spend an evening under the stars.

Beaches

The 2 local beaches, Calan Bosch and Son Xoriguer, are close by and both offer sun loungers and parasols for hire.

Family fun

The local water park, Agua Rock, is open in the high season and a great choice for all of the family to spend a day. Much fun can be had on the waterslides and entertainment area.

Places of interest

The old capital of Ciutadella, is a good choice for a day out. The winding cobbled streets are home to many boutiques, shoe shops, and much, much more. Wander down to the port and enjoy some refreshment on the waters' edge whilst contemplating the view.

Golf

Son Parc is located on the north coast and home to the only golf course in Menorca. This 18-hole course offers buggies and clubs for hire, plus the driving range.

Other activities

The coastal bridle path is popular with locals and holidaymakers alike. Great to explore the coastline on foot or horseback.

Activities and things to do

Go-Karts

There are several go-kart tracks on the island offering different courses and facilities to suit all ages and levels.

Castillo Menorca, on the road from Ferreries to Cuitadella, also has a great go-karting track as well as an adult and childrens pool, waterslide, trampolines, childrens play area, shopping complex and restaurant.

Or try the go-kart track at Aquarock Waterpark.

Golf Son Parc

There is only one golf course on the island, set amongst the pine trees in Son Parc, on the North coast. It has recently been extended from 9 holes to 18 and is open 365 days per year.
There is an 18 bay floodlit driving range with the latest technology - Swingcam.
Junior golfers are welcome if accompanied by an adult and the golf shop stocks equipment for purchase or hire for children of 5 years upwards.
The dress code is lenient - shorts, t-shirts and trainers are acceptable but NOT sleeveless vests, swimwear, flipflops etc.

If golf plays an important part of your holiday then it is wise to book in advance.

Monte Toro

El Toro, at 360 metres above sea level, is the highest peak on Menorca. In the centre of the island it towers above the small town of Es Mercadal. Take the time to drive up the steep 3.2km climb to the summit and see the whole of the island spread out beneath you. There are sea views on all four sides and, on a clear day, the view stretches to the north coast of Mallorca.
The mountain is crowned by a convent which has become an important centre of pilgrimage and the neat vegetable and herb gardens beneath the terraces are still tended to by the community of nuns who live there. Visit the tiny chapel or have lunch in the rustic café and browse around the shop, packed with souvenirs and local produce.

Lloc de Menorca Zoo

Lloc de Menorca Zoo, located on the main road from Mahon to Alaior, is sure to be a hit with the kids! The zoo has a range of creatures from farm animals to more exotic zoo animals and children will also be able to pet some of the farm animals.

The zoo also has a small splash pool, 2 museums, a picnic area, snack bar and a gift shop.

Watersports

Menorca is definitely the place to be for anyone wanting to experience watersports on their villa holiday! Professional centres with modern teaching techniques and equipment to hire make it all so easy, even for beginners. Menorca's prevalent winds and summers breezes provide perfect conditions for windsurfing or sailing and diving is also very popular with a great deal of sea life and underwaters caves to be explored!|Some of the main beach resorts have windsurf boards and small sailing dinghys but Fornells, on the North coast of the island, in particular, is home to some of the best windsurfing and sailing facilities in Europe.
