Villa Description
Swimming pool, BBQ area and outside space

Outside, Villa Pinar has a private infinity swimming pool and a large lawned garden. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy the superb views over the bay of Cala Galdana. The raised terrace has a table and chairs and a brick BBQ for making the most of lazy evenings enjoying the warm weather and beautiful scenic views.


Entrance

A set of traditional Menorcan olive wood gates open onto a spacious private parking area with space for 3 hire cars, and a decorative double arch covers the front door.


Living space

From the entrance hall, double doors open into the living area which has comfy sofas and built-in seating around the feature fireplace, with a dining table and chairs. The fully equipped kitchen is through an archway on the right. Open the patio doors on the far side of the lounge and the incredible views over Cala Galdana will hit you!


Bedroom and bathrooms

On the first floor there is a double bedroom that commands the entire floor and has patio doors leading to a terrace which has uninterrupted views over the golden sandy bay of Cala Galdana. It also comes with an en suite bathroom. On the ground floor there are 4 twin bedrooms, with one of them having an en suite shower room and views of the pool area and sea beyond. There is also a separate bathroom and shower room on this floor.

Villa Location
This impressive 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa enjoys a fabulous location above the bay of Cala Galdana, affording fantastic views over the sea, but also within easy reach of the shops and eateries this sought after resort has to offer. The beach, shops and choice of restaurants in the resort centre are within around 15 minutes on foot, or a few minutes by car.

Villa Pinar is situated in one of Menorca´s most charming and picturesque resorts, Cala Galdana. Located on the South coast of the island, the villa boasts breathtaking views over the sweeping bay to the crystal clear azure waters. The magnificent beach and choice of facilities in the centre of the resort are easily accessible either on foot or by car.


The resort centre has a great choice of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, a mini-golf course and water slides - perfect for kids! There is also an abundance of shops, perfect for browsing and souvenir shopping, as well as stocking up on essentials for a traditional BBQ overlooking the resort! A number of good restaurants can also be found lining the beach.
The popular Hotel Melia Cala Galdana is within a few minutes on foot and offers regular entertainment and a buffet restaurant.


Beaches

The beach has a selection of cafes and restaurants which stay open into the evening - perfect for relaxing on lazy, temperate evenings as you watch the sun set over the Med. There is also a walkway to enjoy a relaxing stroll after an evening meal.
Adjacent to the beach runs the Algendar river where you can spot small pleasure boats moored up alongside larger sailing vessels.
Within walking distance are 2 of Menorca´s quieter beaches, Macarella and Cala Mitjana, both perfect contrasts to the busier stretch of beach at Cala Galdana.


Other activities

Along the road into the resort centre, a few minutes away by car, is an equestrian centre which showcases the talents of the Menorcan horses in their spectacular evening shows, usually twice a week.
Or for a great family day out, either of the 2 waterparks or Castillo Menorca on the West side of the island, and Lloc de Menorca Zoo between Mahon and Alaior, are easily accessible within a short drive.

Mini Golf
A firm favourite with the kids, there are several, well kept courses around the island.

Castillo Menorca, just outside of Ciutadella, has a great mini golf course as well as various pools, shops, childrens entertainment and a restaurant.

All the courses have a cafe or restaurant adjacent where parents can relax and keep a watchful eye. The resorts of Santo Tomas, Cala Blanca and Cala Galdana all have mini golf facilities as well as Goody Goody Park in Calan Bosch.

There are tennis courts in almost every resort, all of which hire out equipment. Try the facilities at Santo Tomas, Calan Porter, Calan Forcat, Arenal Den Castell, Calan Bosch or S'algar.

Castillo Menorca
Castillo Menorca, located on the main road between Ferreries and Cuitadella, has an adults pool with a water slide and a childrens pool, as well as mini golf, trampolines, a childrens play area, a shopping complex selling leather goods, jewellery, ceramics and gifts, a snack bar and a fantastic go-karting track! WiFi is also available.

In addition to the above, several resorts also have water slides or splash pools, the largest being in Son Bou. Smaller slides for younger children can be found in Cala Galdana and Cala Blanca.

There are several go-kart tracks on the island offering different courses and facilities to suit all ages and levels.

Castillo Menorca, on the road from Ferreries to Cuitadella, also has a great go-karting track as well as an adult and childrens pool, waterslide, trampolines, childrens play area, shopping complex and restaurant.

Or try the go-kart track at Aquarock Waterpark.

Monte Toro
El Toro, at 360 metres above sea level, is the highest peak on Menorca. In the centre of the island it towers above the small town of Es Mercadal. Take the time to drive up the steep 3.2km climb to the summit and see the whole of the island spread out beneath you. There are sea views on all four sides and, on a clear day, the view stretches to the north coast of Mallorca.
The mountain is crowned by a convent which has become an important centre of pilgrimage and the neat vegetable and herb gardens beneath the terraces are still tended to by the community of nuns who live there. Visit the tiny chapel or have lunch in the rustic café and browse around the shop, packed with souvenirs and local produce.

Excellent location, great views and easy access to the beach and amenities. Well equipped with comfortable beds and furnishings.The layout lends itself to multiple family groups.Safe garden area ideal for children to play in and trees to give shade. Impressed with the organisation of Villa Plus. Our villa was ready for us on our early arrival, much appreciated.Our rep, Dionne, was very helpful. Overall, a really great holiday, looking forward to the next one.
