Villa Description
Swimming pool, pool terrace and sunbathing area

The outside space and private pool are the ideal for taking in the ambience, with plenty of space to relax or swim. For respite from the sun there is a covered terrace with a wooden table and bench as well as additional seating, perfect for relaxing with a chilled drink. To the rear of the property is a further covered terrace which houses a brick BBQ great for preparing those tasty meals.


Entrance

The entrance to Villa Ca Sou is along a narrow winding lane with ample parking space for your hire cars. A pedestrian gate opens onto a spacious terrace with 2 steps up to the covered terrace and front door to the side. As you enter the spacious hallway features photographs and antiques with a warm Spanish welcome.


Living space

The traditional living and dining area are open plan in style, with several charming, authentic touches including a feature stonewall and chiminea. The room is furnished with comfortable sofas, a flat screen tv and a dining table with chairs.


Kitchen

The kitchen has high quality traditional wooden cupboards and everything you require for preparing family meals. There is a dining table with chairs great for your morning breakfasts and planning the day ahead. You'll find a separate door from here which leads out to the covered terrace by the brick BBQ which is perfect for dining in true alfresco style. There is a separate utility room with a shower which can only be accessed externally.


Bedrooms and bathrooms

There are 5 bedrooms which continue the traditional Spanish charm, you'll find 2 twin bedrooms on the ground floor which make use of a separate shower room. Upstairs, there are 2 double bedrooms, 1 of which has an en suite shower room, a twin bedroom and a separate bathroom.


Air conditioning

In line with local energy saving initiatives, the villa has timed air conditioning on all units from 17:30 to 19:30 and from 22:00 to 09:00.

Villa Ca Sou is a detached property in an idyllic countryside setting. The popular Old Town of Pollensa is a short drive away where you can explore its authentic shops and delicious restaurants along the narrow streets. If you fancy a day by the beach soaking tha Spainish sun Puerto Pollensa has a wide swathe of golden sand and a glitzy marina, with plenty of restaurants and bars, Only a 20 minutes' drive away. Anyone who wants to see more of this beautiful island can explore the neighbouring resort of Alcudia with a traditional Roman Walled Old Town and a stunning sandy beach.

Local markets and shopping

The traditional market in Pollensa Old Town is on a Sunday where you can purchase fresh locally grown nuts, dried chillies, meats, vegetables plus cultural gems. Why not stock up for a BBQ back at the villa? Alternatively, head to Puerto Pollensa on a Wednesday to explore the weekly market and purchase some souvenirs to take home.. You can also visit the Roman walled old town of Alcudia, where you'll find 2 weekly markets.


Bars and restaurants

The Old Town of Pollensa is only a short drive away, with many chic brasseries and bars lining the cobbled streets. Why not join the locals for the menu of the day. Puerto Pollensa has plenty of seafood restaurants, you can dine on the seafront overlooking the fishermen's boats in the harbour where the daily fresh fish is caught. A little further drive away is the old Roman walled town of Alcudia which has plenty to offer with charming local eateries and tapas bars featured in the ancient streets of this historic town.


Beaches

The nearby beach of Puerto Pollensa is a must for keen beach lovers. The huge expanse of sand and crystal-clear waters are ideal for sunbathing and swimming, with a view of the mountain range in the distance. You can also visit the crescent shaped bays of Alcudia and Playa de Muro both of which have all the facilities you need to enjoy a lazy day on the sun kissed sand. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols to hire, so that you can appreciate the stunning coastline while enjoying the warm Mediterranean waters.


Family fun

In the Port of Pollensa, you'll find lots of excursions with glass bottomed boats and catamarans awaiting to sail you out on the beautiful Mediterranean waters. With scuba diving, sailing lessons and jet skis all on offer you'll be spoilt for choice. Or for something a little more laid back, why not take out a pedalo or cycle along the promenade? The Hydropark waterpark, 10 minutes drive from your villa, is great for a day of family fun.


Places of interest

Why not take a 25 minute boat trip from Puerto Pollensa to Cap de Formentor? There's a spectacular Blue Flag beach with glorious white sand, about ¾ of mile long and clear sparkling turquoise waters. It backs directly onto the pine forests, which can offer a nice bit of shade on hot sunny days. Visit the Caves of Drach, which have Europe's largest underground lake, about an hour's drive from the villa. The city of Palma is a beautiful place, where you can visit historic sites such as the Gothic cathedral, the artist Miro's gallery or Bellver Castle.


Golf

Looking to play golf by the sea? With sweeping views of the stunning Alcudia Bay, you can enjoy the spectacular coastline during a round of golf. On the other side of the peninsula is the Pollensa Golf Course which is smaller but still impressive with its club house, swimming pool and views of the Puig Maria monastery.


Other activities

Why not visit some of the island's wine cellars, where you can sample some of the local wines and learn about how they are produced? Cycling is also popular with plenty of shops providing all you require to get out and discover the island on 2 wheels.

Go Karting, Alcudia
All children (and adults too) can enjoy racing around the track and pretending to be Lewis Hamilton or Jensen Button. Try your hand at this exciting sport at Karting Mania in Puerto Alcudia.

Ranxo Ses Roques
Ranxo Ses Roques is located in Alcudia and offers excursions on horses and ponies that take you around the bottom of the mountain and countryside. Ther are also excursions that take you to the top of the mountain where you can see the bay of Alcudia. There is an animal farm where you will find various animals such as goats, ducks, peacocks, turkeys, cows, rabbits, donkeys and piglets for all the family to enjoy.

Windsurfing/Water Skiing
Windsurfers and pedal boats are available for hire at most of the bigger resorts.
There are sailing schools at several of the larger resorts and often it is possible to hire equipment without tuition.

Beaches where windsurfing is available include Cala Millor, Cala d'Or, Can Picafort, Formentor, Magaluf, Palma Nova, Peguera, Platja de Palma, Port d'Alcudia, Port de Pollensa, Port de Soller, Portals and Santa Ponsa.

Water skiing equipment can be hired on the major beaches including Puerto Pollenca, Cala Millor, Can Picafort, Formentor, Magalluf, Palma Nova, Peguera, Platja de Palma, Port d'Alcudia and Santa Ponsa.

Hidropark, Alcudia
A water based theme park with activities for young children. From giant water slides to numerous swimming and boating pools the kids will never get bored. The park offers a variety of flumes, slides and pools for all ages including kamikaze slides, a wave pool, euro bungee, mini go-karts and mini motor boats. A great day out for all the family. There are plenty of fast food type restaurants. There is also a 54 hole 'super-crazy-golf' course next door accessible from both in and out of the park.

Golf Pollensa
This 9 hole course is great when time is pressing. Protected by the mountains 'Puig de Santa Maria', Golf Pollença was designed in 1986 on a small hillside in a green valley overlooking the sea. The course is challenging with its tricky dog-legs and difficult green. No doubt one of the most beautiful courses in Mallorca
