The small coves with rocky outcrops and sandy beaches are only a short walk away, with steps leading to all 3 sandy coves. Location features

Bars and restaurants

This villa is within easy reach of a few restaurants and bars in Cala St Vicente. There are many chic brasseries and bars in the old town of Pollensa just a short drive away where you can join the locals for an exquisite meal in the cobbled side streets. The Port of Pollensa has plenty of fresh seafood and local eateries available to enjoy. You can dine on the seafront and watch the fishermen's boats bobbing in the harbour where fresh fish is caught every day.

A little further away is the old Roman walled town of Alcudia with charming local restaurants and tapas bars spread through the ancient streets of this historic town. All bars and restaurants welcome children and the local establishments have a relaxed approach which adds to this easy going dining experience.

Local markets and shopping

A short drive away, the traditional market in Pollensa Old Town is on a Sunday selling local produce and artisan products. You can experience the hustle and bustle of this traditional Spanish market. As an alternative the weekly market is in Puerto Pollensa on a Wednesday, giving you the opportunity to purchase local produce and artisan trinkets typical of the north of the island in a seaside resort setting.

Cala San Vicente offers 3 sandy coves with a curve of golden sand with clear waters, backed by a promenade. It's safe, beautiful and in this case wonderfully wide, Cala San Vicente is particularly impressive, because of its unbelievably spectacular clifftop lookout from the southern approaching road from which to view it. The crescent shaped bay of Puerto Pollensa beckons and has all the facilities you need to enjoy a lazy day on the sun kissed sand. Beach bars have become popular in Puerto Pollensa and offer respite from sun and sea, providing a place to sip sundowners at the end of your day unwinding at the beach.

Family fun

Nearby Alcudia features its own waterpark, the equestrian centre and a large Go-Karting track. In the Marina in the Port of Pollensa, you will find lots of boat excursions with glass bottomed boat trips and catamarans awaiting to take you out on the beautiful Mediterranean waters while enjoying the stunning coastline. Vendors offer scuba diving, sailing lessons and jet skis, for gentler pursuits you can enjoy the Pedalos and cycling along the promenade.

Places of interest

Cap de Formentor is known to be the most dramatic stretch of Mallorca’s coast, with razor-edge cliffs and wind-buckled limestone peaks jutting far out to sea; from a distance, it looks like an epic line of waves about to break. Definitely a must visit and only a 30 minutes' drive from your villa. Or why not venture to the marinas in either Puerto Pollensa or Alcudia where you can dine in style overlooking the yachts?

Other activities

Equally a trip to La Victoria monastery affords spectacular views of the Tramuntana mountains and coastline. Why not enjoy the experience of drinking the local wines in the vineyards themselves with plenty of bodegas to choose from? The old town of Alcudia is only 10 miles away with a beautiful medieval centre, narrow cobbled streets and authentic local markets.

The golf clubs of Pollensa and Aucanada have stunning views of the coastline and are a must for all golf enthusiasts and are a short drive from the villa.

Activities and things to do
Hidropark, Alcudia
A water based theme park with activities for young children. From giant water slides to numerous swimming and boating pools the kids will never get bored. The park offers a variety of flumes, slides and pools for all ages including kamikaze slides, a wave pool, euro bungee, mini go-karts and mini motor boats. A great day out for all the family. There are plenty of fast food type restaurants. There is also a 54 hole 'super-crazy-golf' course next door accessible from both in and out of the park.
Scuba Diving /Snorkelling
The clear waters around Majorca are the perfect place for diving especially in the small, shallow coves dotted around the coastline.

Equipment can be found and bought easily and cheaply if you have not brought your own with you. There is a diving school which operates off the main Cala Gran Beach and Esmerelda Beach.

The federation is available to give information and advice on all aspects of diving in Majorca. Clients can get certification.

Golf Pollensa
This 9 hole course is great when time is pressing. Protected by the mountains 'Puig de Santa Maria', Golf Pollença was designed in 1986 on a small hillside in a green valley overlooking the sea. The course is challenging with its tricky dog-legs and difficult green. No doubt one of the most beautiful courses in Mallorca

All children (and adults too) can enjoy racing around the track and pretending to be Lewis Hamilton or Jensen Button. Try your hand at this exciting sport at Karting Mania in Puerto Alcudia.

Golf Alcanada
Two essential requirements for the creation of a good golf course are a spectacular setting and a first rate architect. Both exist here in Alcanada, Alcudia. The designers are the legendary architects Robert Trent Jones Senior and Robert Trent Jones Junior.

The virgin terrain, gently sloping down towards the shoreline, with pine, olive and oak trees, offer marvellous views of the island of Alcanada with the lighthouse in the foreground and the mountains of the Sierra de Levante in the background.
