Villa Location
Villa Jaima is a semi-detached property set in a leafy residential area of Cala San Vicente. At the foot of the Tramuntana mountain range, this area is popular for hiking. You'll find a selection of restaurants and bars, as well as 3 small coves with rocky outcrops and sandy beaches, only a short downhill walk away. The Old Town of Pollensa and the resort of Puerto Pollensa are both just a 10 minute drive from the villa, with even more shops, restaurants and bars. Our villas Peyro and Pitort are nearby.

Location features

Local markets and shopping

Pollensa Old Town is just 10 minutes' drive away, with a traditional market held every Sunday, a wonderful opportunity to see the local residents bartering for their weekly shopping. Alternatively, the weekly market in Puerto Pollensa on a Wednesday is a great place to pick up some souvenirs to take home. For your daily essentials, the nearest mini market is just 10 minutes' walk away.

Bars and restaurants

Cala San Vincente is home to some charming small bars and restaurants with a mixture of local Mediterranean cuisine for you to enjoy. Alternatively, there are many chic brasseries and bars in the Old Town of Pollensa, just a short drive away. Or head to the Port of Pollensa to sample some of the local seafood whilst watching the fisherman's boats bobbing in the harbour where the fresh fish is caught every day.

The 3 small coves of Cala San Vicente are just a short walk away, all accessed by a number of steps from the main street. Set against the backdrop of the mountains, these small bays offer golden sand surrounded by rocky outcrops. Alternatively, the crescent shaped bay of Puerto Pollensa has all the facilities you need to enjoy a lazy day on the sand. Beach bars offer respite from the sun and provide a great place to sip sundowners at the end of your day.

Family fun

Nearby Alcudia, 20 minutes' drive from the villa, features its own waterpark, horse-riding and a large Go-Karting track. At the Port of Pollensa, you will find lots of boat excursions with glass bottomed boats and catamarans, all great for a day of family fun. You can also try out scuba diving, sailing and jet skis.

Places of interest

Cap de Formentor is known to be the most dramatic stretch of Mallorca’s coast, with razor-edge cliffs and wind-buckled limestone peaks jutting far out to sea; from a distance, it looks like an epic line of waves about to break. Definitely a must visit and only a 30 minutes' drive from your villa. Or why not venture to the marinas in either Puerto Pollensa or Alcudia where you can dine in style overlooking the yachts?

The golf clubs of Pollensa and Aucanada offer stunning views of the coastline and are a must for all golf enthusiasts.

Other activities

Snorkelling is popular in Cala San Vincente, and if you are feeling active there are hiking trails in the nearby Tramuntana mountains, one of which leads to the family resort of Puerto Pollensa.

Golf Alcanada
Two essential requirements for the creation of a good golf course are a spectacular setting and a first rate architect. Both exist here in Alcanada, Alcudia. The designers are the legendary architects Robert Trent Jones Senior and Robert Trent Jones Junior.

The virgin terrain, gently sloping down towards the shoreline, with pine, olive and oak trees, offer marvellous views of the island of Alcanada with the lighthouse in the foreground and the mountains of the Sierra de Levante in the background.

Palma is the capital of all the Balearics (the collective name given to Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera) and was founded by the Romans in approx 120BC. The capital clearly demonstrates its long association with maritime commerce and its history as a major Mediterranean port.

The islands had a chequered history until they were captured in 1229 by the Catalonians and renamed Palma Ciutat de Mallorques. Mallorquin is the spoken dialect of the Catalan islands, the locals now call their capital Palma or 'Ciutat'. Palma is home to a host of fine churches, art galleries and museums and for the historian it will be easy to spend a day.

Verdant Palm trees grace the Paseo Maritimo (seafront promenade) running for two miles along the sweep of the bay. Stroll along the front and watch the world go by.

Start your shopping spree at 'El Corte Ingles' the biggest department store in Spain. Once finished there, you will find many small interesting shops specialising and offering an array of goods from the region.
Golf Pollensa
This 9 hole course is great when time is pressing. Protected by the mountains 'Puig de Santa Maria', Golf Pollença was designed in 1986 on a small hillside in a green valley overlooking the sea. The course is challenging with its tricky dog-legs and difficult green. No doubt one of the most beautiful courses in Mallorca
