Villa Rubino offers a wonderful outdoor space with an impressive salt water pool, perfect for cooling off on a hot summers' day. There is a lawn area dotted with mature olive trees, offering some welcome shade. 4 steps down leads to a covered veranda with seating and games tables - perfect for a pre-dinner drink. There is also an outdoor shower room with WC.


The villa is gated from the road with a long gravel driveway leading past the pool to the parking area. The front door opens into the living area.

Living space

The living and dining area is open plan in style, creating a social place for everyone to relax. The high-vaulted ceilings give an additional feeling of space. The room is furnished with comfortable seating, a flat screen TV and a dining table with chairs.


The adjacent kitchen is well equipped for your holiday meals. A door opens out to a covered terrace at the side of the villa with an outdoor dining table and chairs, perfect for alfresco dining. You'll also find the brick BBQ and pizza oven with a sink and plenty of preparation space, great for cooking up a feast.

The separate utility room can only be accessed externally.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Villa Rubino has 5 spacious bedrooms, all located on the ground floor. There is 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, both with air conditioning and access to a separate shower room.

You'll also find a spacious double bedroom with en suite shower room. This double bedroom can either be accessed externally or via a second twin bedroom, which has a door leading out to the pool area. There is also a third double bedroom and a separate shower room.

Villa Location
Located in the Pugliese countryside, Villa Rubino is a detached property set in spacious grounds. 15 minutes' drive will take you to the town of San Vito dei Normanni, with a characterful historic centre and 12th century church. There are plenty of bars and restaurants as well as a weekly market. You'll also be just 30 minutes' drive from the picturesque coastline, with a choice of sandy beaches for you to explore.

Local markets and shopping

San Vito dei Normanni is home to a weekly market every Monday, where you can pick up some fresh produce as well as clothing and local ceramics. You'll also find a butchers, bakers and green grocers as well as the larger supermarkets, so you'll be well stocked for a BBQ at the villa.

Bars and restaurants

San Vito dei Normanni has a good choice of restaurants serving traditional Italian dishes with plenty of pizza and pasta on offer. You'll find smaller wine bars full of character in the historical centre, great for a pre-dinner drink. If you're after fresh seafood then head to one of the many eateries along the coast.


30 minutes' drive will take you to Torre Guaceto National Park, famed for its picturesque dunes and beautiful sandy beaches. Reached via a small train, the beach also has watersports on offer, including sailing, diving and snorkelling. Head along the coast in either direction and you'll find plenty more stunning coves and beaches for you to explore.

Family fun

If you're looking to cool off, 30 minutes' drive will take you to Carrisiland Resort waterpark, with lots of slides and pools to keep everyone entertained. Or head to Zoosafari, 50 minutes' drive away, where you can take a safari to see the animals. Next door you can visit Fasanolandia, a theme park with lots of rides and attractions.

Places of interest

In San Vito dei Normanni visit the Dentice di Frasso castle, with an original tower dating back to the 12th century. The Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria is also worth a visit, built at the end of the 16th century to commemorate the battle of Lepanto.


The prestigious San Domenico Golf Course, known as one of the best golf clubs in Italy, is 50 minutes' drive away.

Other activities and places of interest

You'll be ideally based to explore many of the other historical towns surrounding your villa. The 'White City' of Ostuni is 30 minutes' drive away, a mixture of wide piazzas full of cafes and winding streets dotted with souvenir shops. Or, head to Martina Franca, with beautiful Baroque architecture.

Activities and things to do
Alberobello has around 1,400 trulli, the distinctive houses with conical roofs for which the region is famous. The 'Trulli Zone' of the town spreads up a hillside and is perfect for strolling around, taking photos and shopping for souvenirs in the many gift shops. There is a small museum explaining how life would have been lived in a trulli.
Acquapark Egnazia
During the summer from June to September, Acquapark Egnazia offers a fun choice of water slides, a lazy river and two pools for playing and splashing. You can also hire sun beds and umbrellas to relax in the sunshine.
Zoosafari Fasanolandia
Close to the town of Fasano on the plain between the Valle d’Itria and the sea, there is a popular theme park, Fasanolandia which has both a safari and theme park rides. The zoo has over 200 species including tigers, giraffes and chimpanzees.  It’s a fun excursion for family members of all ages.
San Domeico Golf
The San Domenico is located by the Adriatic Sea and  is considered  the best in Italy. This 18 hole championship club measures over 6300 meters, has a par of 72 and has been constructed to the highest standards, with greens conforming to USGA Specifications.
Martina Franca
An elegant town with a series of squares linked by narrow winding streets which retains a friendly, small town feel. It has some very fine Baroque architecture including a palazzo with amazing frescos. The weekly market is one of the most renowned in the area. Each year from mid-July to early August, it plays host to an arts festival with classical concerts and operas.
