Villa Description
Swimming pool, terrace and BBQ area

Set in mature gardens, Villa Trullo Quercia offers an abundance of outdoor space for everyone to enjoy. The large private pool is surrounded by a terrace made from natural stone and dotted with sunbeds to help you unwind. The pool overlooks the lawned garden area, and the villa itself takes its name from a large oak tree (Quercia) which provides additional shade. The spacious terrace has plenty of comfortable seating for those evening cocktails, and a covered alfresco dining area. Here you'll find a table and chairs, perfect for delicious meals cooked on the brick BBQ.

The villa is accessed via a manual gate with off-road parking for your hire cars. A path leads round to the spacious terrace and front doors of both buildings.

Living space

The living and dining area has a traditional tiled floor and is pleasantly furnished with a comfortable sofa, flat screen TV and dining table with chairs. The front door opens from the lounge to the outdoor dining area and pool terrace. An archway leads through to a cosy alcove, great for relaxing with a good book.

The stylish kitchen has traditional stone flooring and wooden cabinets and is fully equipped for your holiday meals. There is a door opening out to the rear of the villa with a paved area and an outdoor sink.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The villa has 4 bedrooms in total, split between the main house and separate trullo. In the main villa there is a charming double bedroom with a traditional stone floor and an original iron door opening out to the terrace and pool area. This room has an en suite shower room with 2 wash basins and 2 showers. You'll also find 2 twin bedrooms that share use of a separate bathroom, which also houses the washing machine.

The final double bedroom can be found in the traditional trullo building, which is accessed from the pool terrace. The room is full of charm with an en suite shower room and an additional seating area - perfect if you are looking for your own space.

Villa Location
Villa Trullo Quercia is a detached property set in extensive grounds just 10 minutes' drive from Ostuni. Known as the White City, Ostuni is a town of whitewashed buildings perched on the hilltop overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The coastal town of Villanova is only 20 minutes' drive away, and 30 minutes' drive will take you to the beautiful towns of Cisternino, Martina Franca and Ceglie Messapica.

Location features

Local markets and shopping

Ostuni is home to a weekly market every Saturday, where you can find local specialities including olives and wine, as well as lots of local produce for a BBQ back at the villa. There is also a selection of small shops in town selling souvenirs, as well as bakeries and cake shops. The nearest supermarket can be found on the outskirts of Ostuni, just 10 minutes' drive away.

Bars and restaurants

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating around the main piazza by the Palazzo Municipale in Ostuni, a great spot for an alfresco meal with a glass of wine. Take a wander down any of the narrow lanes and you'll find plenty more to choose from. If you're after seafood then head to the small port town of Villanova, home to some great fish restaurants. Nearby Ceglie Messapica also has a choice of restaurants and a growing reputation for their cuisine.

The Adriatic coastline is home to some beautiful, unspoilt beaches. The nearest is in Villanova, which has several beaches in and around the town including a wide sandy public beach which slopes gently in the sea. There are also some restaurants and beach bars close by. Along the coast you'll find Lido Morelli, a long natural beach with sand dunes, and Torre Pozzella which has lovely clear waters but very limited facilities - be sure to pack a picnic .

Family fun

For a day of family fun head to Fasanolandia, about 35 minutes' drive away, where you can visit the zoo and enjoy the rides in the theme park. Alternatively, 40 minutes' drive will take you to Acquapark Egnazia with lots of pools and slides to cool off from the summer sun.

Activities and things to do
Set on top of a steep hill with excellent views of the surrounding countryside, Cisternino has a couple of distinctive features. Its shops are more focussed on the arts with many galleries and specialist suppliers including an upmarket chocolatier in the main piazza. The other is the high number of butchers’ shops which run a lucrative side line by becoming restaurants each evening. Simply choose from the large selection of different types of meat and it will be taken away and grilled over a wood fire for you. A truly unique experience.
Acquapark Egnazia
During the summer from June to September, Acquapark Egnazia offers a fun choice of water slides, a lazy river and two pools for playing and splashing. You can also hire sun beds and umbrellas to relax in the sunshine.
Alberobello has around 1,400 trulli, the distinctive houses with conical roofs for which the region is famous. The 'Trulli Zone' of the town spreads up a hillside and is perfect for strolling around, taking photos and shopping for souvenirs in the many gift shops. There is a small museum explaining how life would have been lived in a trulli.
San Domeico Golf
The San Domenico is located by the Adriatic Sea and  is considered  the best in Italy. This 18 hole championship club measures over 6300 meters, has a par of 72 and has been constructed to the highest standards, with greens conforming to USGA Specifications.
Martina Franca
An elegant town with a series of squares linked by narrow winding streets which retains a friendly, small town feel. It has some very fine Baroque architecture including a palazzo with amazing frescos. The weekly market is one of the most renowned in the area. Each year from mid-July to early August, it plays host to an arts festival with classical concerts and operas.
