Puglia is renowned for its long, picturesque Adriatic coastline. The beaches are characterised by soft, white sand and rugged rocky sections. Take your pick from private beach clubs with sunbeds available to hire. Nearby Villanova has a wide, sandy public beach with some sunbeds for hire while Quarto di Monte Beach is a small, unspoilt sandy bay. Both options are reachable within a 30 minute drive.

Family fun

For a fun family experience, take a ride on the Ape Calessino, a 3 wheeled vehicle that will whisk you through Ostuni's narrow winding lanes - hold on tight! Or, take a visit to Acqua Park Egnazia, a 45 minute drive from the villa. This fantastic waterpark has slides, shoots and waves suitable for all ages.

Places of interest

A visit to nearby Ostuni will not disappoint. With its intricate network of narrow winding lanes, elegant palazzi and ancient churches, it's a wonderful setting to explore. Dubbed the 'White City', highlights include the 15th century Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral set on a hill and the main square 'Piazza della Liberta'. After a busy day sight-seeing, relax with a glass of local wine in one of Ostuni's quaint bars.

San Domenico Golf is a beautiful course set amongst olive trees. A scenic 40 minute drive along the Adriatic coast will take you there.

Activities and things to do
Acquapark Egnazia
During the summer from June to September, Acquapark Egnazia offers a fun choice of water slides, a lazy river and two pools for playing and splashing. You can also hire sun beds and umbrellas to relax in the sunshine.
Alberobello has around 1,400 trulli, the distinctive houses with conical roofs for which the region is famous. The 'Trulli Zone' of the town spreads up a hillside and is perfect for strolling around, taking photos and shopping for souvenirs in the many gift shops. There is a small museum explaining how life would have been lived in a trulli.
Carovigna lies just a few miles from the coast and has a relaxed, seaside feel with palm tree lined streets. It’s worth popping into the castle which, although not very large, dates back to Norman times with various towers being added by subsequent owners. It has a great view of the sea and was inhabited until the mid 20th Century. The main piazza is lined with the characteristic white limestone buildings and is a good spot for a coffee or lunch in one of the many trattorias. There are plenty of high quality restaurants tucked down the narrow passageways or vicolos and seafood is a particular speciality.
San Domeico Golf
The San Domenico is located by the Adriatic Sea and  is considered  the best in Italy. This 18 hole championship club measures over 6300 meters, has a par of 72 and has been constructed to the highest standards, with greens conforming to USGA Specifications.
Zoosafari Fasanolandia
Close to the town of Fasano on the plain between the Valle d’Itria and the sea, there is a popular theme park, Fasanolandia which has both a safari and theme park rides. The zoo has over 200 species including tigers, giraffes and chimpanzees.  It’s a fun excursion for family members of all ages.
