Villa Albrizio is located in a fabulous countryside setting between the historical towns of Ostuni and Ceglia Messapica. It's a bright 4 bedroom property with a mixture of traditional and contemporary design features. There is a large, private gated pool bordered by lawned garden, overlooking olive groves and a spacious, partially shaded terrace where you can simply relax or dine alfresco in true Italian style. WiFi, air conditioning/heating in the bedrooms and lounge and pool heating are included.

Villa Description
Swimming pool, pool terrace and sunbathing

The large private pool takes centre stage with plenty of sunbathing space facing the olive grove, or there is plenty of natural shade under the olive trees should you need respite from the sun. The covered terrace extends around to the side of the villa and is the ideal spot for relaxing on the seating area, or enjoying the food cooked on your own brick BBQ. This terrace is gated from the pool for extra peace of mind.


Entrance

The approach to Villa Albrizio is via a narrow country lane. Once inside the walls there is plenty of space to park your hire cars.


Living space and kitchen

The open plan seating, dining and fully equipped kitchen area is light and airy, with two sets of patio doors onto the terrace. The dining table and chairs separates the lounge from the bright and contemporary kitchen.


Bedrooms and bathrooms

All 4 bedrooms are off the living room, comprising of 2 doubles, one of which has an en suite shower room, and 2 singles, one of which is only suitable for a child up to 12 years. There is a separate shower room. The bedrooms all have neutral decor and a bright, open feel.

Villa Location
This villa is located in the countryside surrounded by olive groves less than 20 minutes' drive from popular Ostuni and its narrow lanes winding through white-washed houses and opening into piazzas with cafes and restaurants. Ostuni is also just 10 minutes' drive from the coast. What's more, the historical towns of Ceglie Messapica and Carovigno, both known for their fine restaurants, are within easy driving distance.

Local markets and shopping

The nearest supermarket is less than 15 minutes' drive away for your holiday essentials. There is a market on the edge of Ostuni on Saturday mornings selling plenty of locally produced fruit and vegetables, clothes, shoes, bags and ceramics. Or, in the centre of town there are plenty of shops for picking up souvenirs.


Bars and restaurants

There are plenty of options for wining and dining in Ostuni, as well as the surrounding towns of Ceglie Messapica and Carovigno with most restaurants offering delicious, mixed antipasti. Ceglia Messapica is renowned for its restaurants with some great places to try the local fare. Alternatively, Cisternino around 30 minutes' drive away, is famous for its barbecuing butchers. You select your meat then take a seat whilst it's cooked then served to you.


Beaches

The entire Ostuni coast, which is known as the Marina di Ostuni, is covered with small seaside resorts including Villanova, Lido Morelli, Rosa Marina, Costa Merlata and Quarto do Monte. These are around 30 minutes' drive away from Villa Albrizio. A little further is the protected nature reserve of Torre Guaceto, a beautiful series of inlets with fine white sand but limited facilities.


Family fun

The Egnazia Waterpark close to Monopoli and Zoosafari Fasanolandia, a safari park and theme park, are both within 45 minutes' drive from the villa.


Places of interest

Alberobello is famous for conical-roofed houses - trulli, which have UNESCO protection. It's a great place to wander around with its narrow pedestrianised streets, little shops selling local produce and a few nice cafes. Alternatively, take a trip to the Baroque city of Lecce and its historic centre full of extravagant architecture. Why not visit the ruins of the Roman amphitheatre and churches including the Basilica di Santa Croce? Both Alberobello and Lecce are within 1 hours' drive.


Golf

For golf lovers' the nearest course is San Domenica in Fasano, 40 minutes away.


Other activities

The Grotte di Castellana are one of the natural wonders of Puglia, and you can take a tour around the splendid caves lasting for around 2 hours.

Zoosafari Fasanolandia
Close to the town of Fasano on the plain between the Valle d’Itria and the sea, there is a popular theme park, Fasanolandia which has both a safari and theme park rides. The zoo has over 200 species including tigers, giraffes and chimpanzees.  It’s a fun excursion for family members of all ages.

Grottoes
Venture underground to one of the region's many grottoes. The largest are at Castellana and Putignano with guided tours of the Grotte di Castellano taking up to 2 hours to see the whole 2 mile network of caves.

Cycle Touring
In Alberobello, the whole family can take a tour of the town and surrounding area by electric bike, Segway or golf buggy with visits to cheese makers or picnic options are available too. It's a lovely, slow-paced way to discover the countryside and rural way of life, unchanged for centuries.

Torre Guaceto
On the coast, south of Carovigno and to the north of Brindisi, you’ll find Torre Guaceto National Park, renowned for its dunes and sandy beaches. You can hire snorkelling equipment or bikes to see the area in depth and at a leisurely pace.

During the summer from June to September, Acquapark Egnazia offers a fun choice of water slides, a lazy river and two pools for playing and splashing. You can also hire sun beds and umbrellas to relax in the sunshine.
