Argasi is also the gateway to the picturesque Vasilikos Peninsular famous for its choice of beautiful, sandy beaches meaning a holiday here really does tick all the boxes.

Exploring Argasi On Villa Holidays

Local Markets and Shopping

Zante Town, only 3 miles away, has a wide selection of shops to suit all tastes, from jewellery and clothes to souvenirs. Further afield in the mountains, explore the craft village of Volimes. Wander through the village bartering for local crafts and souvenirs with the stall holders and purchase wonderful herbs and honey all produced in Zante. The resort has a supermarket and mini markets where you'll find the basics to stock your villa plus a number of souvenir shops.

Bars and Restaurants

Argasi offers a large choice of more traditional Greek restaurants and grill houses all along its main road. Continue your evening in one of the many busy bars in the resort in the centre of Argasi, sipping cocktails well into the night, or wander down towards the sea front for a quieter, more relaxed vibe. Nearby Xirocastelo is a fantastic base from which to explore the full range of dining experiences Zante has to offer. There is a plethora of fine dining restaurants flourishing in and around the resort and offering spectacular sea views as you dine. There is also a great choice of more traditional tavernas as you venture further south along the scenic Vasilikos Peninsula or further north, into Zante Town.

Argasi Beach is near the centre of the resort and has clear, shallow waters, ideal for families with young children. Xirocastelo is the doorway to the islands’ South Eastern peninsula, known as Vasilikos. The peninsula is famous for its pine forests and sandy beaches. Follow the coastal road through pine forests to the very tip of the peninsula passing the more traditional beaches of Kaminia, Porto Zorro, Dafni and Porto Roma before arriving at Gerakas Beach. The protected Loggerhead Turtles nest at Gerakas and Dafni beaches. Banana Beach and St Nicholas Beach offer a more modern vibe with trendy beach bars and a wealth of water sports.

Family Fun

Argasi has two mini golf courses that are open all day and late into the night. A tourist train links Argasi with Zante Town traveling along the coastal road into the port of Zante Town taking in the sites along the way. The train terminates at Solomos Square in Zante Town and is a great way to explore the island. Find a tempting selection of watersports in Argasi and at St Nicholas and Banana Beaches in Vasilikos.

Places of Interest

Zante is famous for the picturesque Shipwreck Bay on North West side of the island.
