Explore a little further south along the coast and you'll come to the beaches of Stegna and Tsambika. At Stegna there are a string of restaurants along the seafront and sunbeds and parasols available to hire. Activities and things to do
Afandou Golf Course
Bay, (22 km from Rhodes Town), on the road from Rhodes Town to Lindos, is home to the only course on Rhodes. Although not a challenging course, it has an atmosphere and feel, it is great for a day out.

This 18-hole, par-73, golf course (6800 yards), has been designed by Britains world famous golf course architect, Donald Harradine.

Opened in May 1973 the 18 holes the course's tactical features are a challenge to good scoring, both for amateurs and professionals.

The trees, fairways, and greens are laid with different grasses selected to keep the course green throughout the year. The Golf Club is open all the year round.

Admission fees are nominal (2011 €20 low/mid-season:€35 high season) and caddies, caddy carts, golf clubs and balls, as well as instructions, are available at moderate hire charges.

For further details look at

Lindos founded more than 1500 years ago, is the most famous village in Rhodes. It needs little introduction as it has been at the forefront of tourism in Rhodes and no visitor to Rhodes has not gone to the village. Lindos has a charm all of its own, with its white washed one storey sugar cubed buildings nestling under an impressive Acropolis high above.

The Acropolis can be visited by foot, or why not try a 'Lindian Taxi' a donkey! Most of the old fisherman’s houses have been converted to apartments, restaurants and bars. Beautiful court yards and mosaic floors called ‘chokiaki’ add unlimited character to the village. Pallas Beach and St Paul’s Bay are ideal beaches to relax and cool off in the Mediterranean.

This gorgeous village is government protected and remains untouched by the 21st century.

Marline Aquarium - Rhodes Town
Children can admire the fish of different species whilst having the impression of being under water. They will see turtles, octopus, reefs, sea flowers, clams and numerous fish. Set on the beach front in Rhodes Town makes it worthy of a quick visit.

Monastery of Tsambika
You will have to walk up the hill, following the 350 steps. On the top of the hill you will find the tiny, Byzantine church, dedicated to Our Lady. It's perched high at 300 m with commanding coastal views, both north over Kolymbia and south over Tsambika beach until Lindos, which makes it worth, to climb up.
Rhodes Town
Rhodes Town is a great place to explore, with its two harbours, shops, restaurants and historical buildings, this makes Rhodes Town a must see whilst on your villa holiday. Surrounded by walls the Old Town is one of the best preserved fortresses in Europe. When you step into the New City of Rhodes, built in 1522 you will embrace the cosmopolitan liefstyle the resort has to offer.
