Villa Description
Swimming pool and BBQ area

The private saltwater swimming pool, terrace and BBQ area sit behind the villa - the perfect spot for sunbathing as well as dining during the day or in the evening. There's plenty of space to relax and parasols are provided for shade when the sun gets too hot.

A long garden wall surrounds a cluster of 4 villas - Paleos Aegean, Paleos Evergreen, Paleos Sunset and Paleos Hillside. There is plenty of space to park on the street outside, and a large gate opens onto the pathway leading to the 4 houses. Villa Paleos Aegean is the second villa on your right as you enter the grounds.

Living space

The living space is practical, bright and airy, with large patio doors opening onto a lawned garden area at the front of the house. There's a table and chairs for 6, a comfortable seating area and a flat screen TV. The kitchen, at the far end of the living area, is compact but well-equipped with all modern appliances for a relaxing stay.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

There are 2 twin bedrooms sharing a separate shower room and WC on the ground floor. Both bedrooms have patio doors with direct access to the pool terrace. Upstairs is the double bedroom which has a small private balcony, and uses the facilities of an adjacent shower room.

Villa Location
Ialyssos, which includes Trianda Village and the surrounding area, is only 20 minutes' drive from Rhodes Town. The village has several local tavernas and shops, plus Ialyssos Beach is only 5 minutes away by car, too. Scenery and culture enthusiasts will love the location. Villa Paleos Aegean sits at the foot of Mount Filerimos, close to the ancient site of the Doric Polis of Ialyssos. The views from the monastery at the top of the mountain are simply stunning.

Location features

Local markets and shopping

Trianda Village has a good variety of shops selling local produce, including a family butcher, grocer, bakery, cake shop, pharmacist and post office. Along the main road heading down to the beach you'll also find a couple of family owned boutique clothing and shoe shops. Greater shopping opportunities can be found in nearby Rhodes Town.

Bars and restaurants

Within a few minutes' drive, or 20 minutes' walk, is a popular grill house restaurant, which is open all year round, and popular with the locals. Further towards the seafront is a much larger choice of places to eat and drink, with menus including traditional Greek, Sushi, Chinese and Italian dishes. Or, try the nearby Le Gourmet Restaurant in Ixia, for a special occasion. Some of the restaurants in the area will also deliver to your villa, if you prefer to stay in. Cocktail venues, sports bars and beach cafes are all within a short drive too, so you're sure to find something nearby that caters for everyone. Plus, for nightlife, Rhodes Town has several discos open until the early hours.

The main street in the newer part of Trianda, known as Ferenakis, leads up to a lovely beach which is rarely overcrowded, and has a selection of watersports on offer and sunbeds to hire in the summer. There's plenty of car parking space and its certainly worth a visit to enjoy the cool sea breeze during the day and sunsets in the evening. The beaches around this area, including Ixia Beach, a little further away, are mainly pebble.

Family fun

Children will love Rhodes Aquarium or playing in Rodini Park. Alternatively, you can visit the Thrones of Helios Cinema for a relaxed evening. Or, why not try something more adventurous? Boat trips sail from Mandraki Harbour daily, including short trips around the harbour as well as glass bottom boat rides to Lindos, or even to the neighbouring island of Symi. Plus, the waterpark in Faliraki is great on hotter days. Sports fanatics will also find a tennis club nearby. The hop-on-hop-off red double decker sightseeing bus is a great way to see more of the island without having to drive, and is a great activity for all the family.

Places of interest

Mount Filerimos, named after a 13th century monk, was once the site of the Acropolis of Ialyssos, and the church and old monastery still remain - the views of the island from here are particular breath-taking!

History lovers will be in their element, with plenty of ancient and archeological sites nearby waiting to be explored. These include the ancient city of Kamiros and the Doric Polis of Ialyssos, homeland of the famous ancient fighter, Diagoras of Rhodes.

You can also visit Rhodes Old Town, the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe, where fantastic architecture, mosques, traditional fountains, oriental motifs, Byzantine and Gothic churches, shops and cafes are all waiting to be explored within the castle walls! Monte Smith, a hill named after the British admiral Sir William Sidney Smith, offers a splendid panorama of Rhodes Town, too. From here you can see the town below, and on the hill itself are the ruins of the Hellenistic Acropolis of Rhodes which includes the Temple of Apollo and an ancient stadium.

Afandou Golf Course, located along the main road from Rhodes Town into Lindos, is 25 minutes' drive away. Its 18-hole, par 73 course is open all year round.

Other activities

There are many unspoilt villages, mostly up in the mountains, which make a fantastic day trip. Walking is also a popular pastime. Take your car out to a point, park up and leisurely wander through any of the nearby villages, stopping to enjoy a drink and a spot of lunch. The more adventurous among you may prefer to explore the island on the popular 4x4 Jeep Safari and let someone else do the driving. Aerial views, history, fun, wine tasting, mountain biking, hiking and sailing are all available locally and are easy to organise.

Every villa comes with its own manual, complete with details of the best restaurants, taxis, local amenities and activities. And of course, our reps are on hand to make sure you love your holiday more. If you need any advice or tips on the local area, they will be more than happy to help.
