Getting there

Location

Villa Rami enjoys an elevated position near the resort of Agia Pelagia, 15 minutes’ drive away. Here you’ll find a beautiful beach backed by laid-back tavernas offering up traditional Greek cuisine. A short walk downhill from the villa takes you to a handy mini market and a local taverna that serves up BBQ and Greek dishes. There are also 2 beaches within easy reach of the villa. Just 5 minutes’ drive away is the small and pretty beach of Mades which is situated in a protected cove. There’s also Ligaria, a beautiful bay dotted with a handful of restaurants. Located just off the national road, visits to some of Crete’s highlights are easily navigable. Don’t miss the nearby capital, Heraklion, the magnificent ruins of the Palace of Knossos, or further afield, the Venetian city of Rethymnon.
