Villa Location
Perched above the bays of Kalami and Kouloura, Villa Armonia is ideal for anyone wanting to be close to the facilities of both resorts. Kalami is centred around its picturesque pebble beach, where you'll find several shops and restaurants, including the well-known White House taverna - previously home to authors Lawrence and Gerald Durrell. It takes around 5 minutes to drive into the resort, or to the small neighbouring area of Kouloura, which has a quaint harbour and a wonderful seafood restaurant. Villa Rastoni is next door.

Location features

Local markets and shopping
Kalami has a few small gift, beachwear and food shops where you can pick up daily essentials and souvenirs. Serious shoppers will enjoy a day out in Corfu Town, 50 minutes' drive away, which has a huge choice of gift shops as well as well-known high street brands.
Bars and restaurants
The resort is focused on the beach which is lined with several good tavernas, as well as the well-known White House Restaurant on the far side of the bay. Once home to authors Lawrence and Gerald Durrell, the building is now a popular taverna with tables on the terrace overlooking the beach.
On the other side of the headland, a short walk from Kalami centre, is the pleasant area of Kouloura which has a lovely seafood restaurant right on the waterfront, overlooking its small circular harbour.
Beaches
Although Kalami's beach is pebbly, it's still ideal for sunbathing and swimming. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink by the waterfront where you can enjoy a spot of lunch.
Family fun
Children will love paddling or snorkelling at the beach. The island also has 3 waterparks, the nearest is Hydropolis, 25 minutes' drive around the coast in Acharavi, and the largest, Aqualand, is 50 minutes' drive south.
Places of interest
If you're interested in seeing more of the island, there are plenty of places to visit within easy reach by car. Corfu's highest point, Mount Pantokrator, is a must-see for scenery lovers, with the whole of Corfu and the Albanian coastline visible from the peak. The views from Paleokastritsa are incredible, where the mountaintop cafes have glorious views of the open sea and shoreline. There are various quaint Greek villages dotted around the island too, Old Perithia on the North Coast is particularly charming - don't forget your camera!
Golf
Corfu's only golf course is located an hours' drive away, in the Ropa Valley.
Other activities
A small selection of water sports are available at Kalami Beach during the summer. You can also hire a motorboat and explore the island from the sea. Or, if you'd rather keep your feet on dry land, driving, walking or cycling are a great way to see the beautiful countryside and scenery. The coast road which runs along the island is easy to follow and connected Corfu Town to all the resorts along the North East Coast - perfect for exploring the island!

Activities and things to do
Activity
Waterparks
There are 2 waterparks on the Island: Hydropolis on the outskirts of Acharavi on the north coast, and the larger Aqualand in Ag Ioannis, just outside Corfu Town. Both parks have a good selection of slides, pools and various refreshments available. Aqualand is by far the largest of the waterparks and in fact one of the largest waterparks in Europe with a big selection of rides and activities for all ages (including a very sedate 'lazy river' for older party members!) It has a couple of cafes and snack bars, a small shopping area and plenty of sun loungers and is open from 9am-8pm daily all Summer.

One of the hotels in Sidari also has a few small waterslides and a pool, open to the public.

Activity
Horse & buggy rides
The evenings in Corfu town are a delight for families.

A fun thing to do is to take the horse and trap for a small tour of the town. You will see them around Corfu Town and you should ascertain the cost before getting onboard. It is well worth the hour you spend holding up traffic.

Alternatively, you may prefer to jump on the tiny train for a trip around town.

The park and the Liston area is alive with families drinking coffee whilst their children play ball on the cricket pitch or ride on the small battery powered cars in the park.

Activity
Watersports
Virtually all major beaches and many of the smaller ones have water sports of one form or another available.

Generally pedalos and small canoes can be found everywhere and sports activities include water-skiing and water boards, para-gliding, ringos, banana boats and the latest 'fish' which works on a similar principal.

Most water sports jetties offer lessons and some offer courses for children.

There are very few places that now offer jet skiing. One beach is Gouvia beach where a qualified instructor has tow jet skis available for hire.
Activity
Boat trips
The beautiful 14 meter motor yacht, the Nautilus, offers trips around the North East coast of the island or a day or night time cruise round to Corfu Town. The boat has a BBQ and passengers will also have the chance to swim from the boat - perfect for snorkelling!

http://www.dailycruisescorfu.com/index.html

Paleokastritsa has little boats that take up to 20 people on small tours to the nearby caves. The tours last about an hour and are a lovely way to admire the dramatic scenery and small caves of the West Coast.

Calypso glass bottom boat leaves from Corfu old port on a regular basis. A large glass bottom boat it takes big groups to a spot just off the island of Vidos. The round trip takes about an hour and children can see sea lions and the fish around the island.
