Villa Location
A pleasant 15 minute walk along the coastal road offers glimpses of the sea between the trees, leading down into Agios Stefanos. This easy-going resort has several tavernas and shops centred around its quaint harbour and adjoining beach. The larger Kerasia Beach is 5 minutes' drive south, which also has a great taverna right on the seafront. If you want to explore the area further, there's plenty of attractions within a short drive, or why not hire a motorboat and explore Corfu's hidden coves from the sea?

Location features

Local markets and shopping
A gentle 15 minute walk downhill takes you into Agios Stefanos resort. There are a couple of supermarkets here, as well as a larger one in nearby Sinies Village. The resort also has a couple of small gift shops where you can buy beachwear and souvenirs to take home.
Bars and restaurants
There's a good selection of cafes and tavernas, both modern and traditional, along the seafront and harbour where you can watch the fishing boats come and go. The resort has a laid-back vibe where you can enjoy good food day and night, as well as watch the sun set over the water.
Beaches
Agios Stefanos has a small, pebbly but pleasant beach with a lovely beach bar right by the sea. The beach leads into the harbour which is lined with a good choice of tavernas and cafes. A 5 minute drive heading south along the coast will bring you to the larger beach of Kerasia, which has a great taverna right on the seafront.
Family fun
A horse riding centre, dingy sailing and boat trip facilities are all nearby and there is also a small waterpark, Hydropolis, around 30 minutes' drive along the coast in Acharavi. The larger Aqualand Waterpark is right in the centre of the island, approximately an hours' drive away.
Places of interest
For anyone wanting to experience a true taste of Greece, motorboats can be hired locally to explore the stunning bays of Kouloura, Kalami and Agni along the North East Coast. Corfu's highest point, Mount Pantokrator, offers some truly stunning scenery, or why not visit the traditional Greek Village of Old Perithia? The village was once abandoned but it now being brought back to life, with tavernas and shops open to visitors during the summer.
Golf
Corfu's only golf course is approximately 23 miles away in the centre of the Island, near the village of Ermones.
Other activities
No trip to Corfu would be complete without a visit to Corfu Town. The islands capital, Corfu Town has a lively market and a never-ending choice of quaint local gift shops, as well as larger high street brands. You can also visit the fortress which overlooks the marina, or enjoy a meal at the Liston - the central building lined with bars and restaurants and a small garden area with a couple of great cocktail venues!

Activities and things to do
Activity
Watersports
Virtually all major beaches and many of the smaller ones have water sports of one form or another available.

Generally pedalos and small canoes can be found everywhere and sports activities include water-skiing and water boards, para-gliding, ringos, banana boats and the latest 'fish' which works on a similar principal.

Most water sports jetties offer lessons and some offer courses for children.

There are very few places that now offer jet skiing. One beach is Gouvia beach where a qualified instructor has tow jet skis available for hire.
Activity
Windsurfing
Though not known particularly for its windsurfing Corfu none the less has two good windsurfing schools. One is in the south of the island and the other is on Avlaki beach in the North.

Windsurfing is something all the family can enjoy, either out at sea or from the comfort of a sunbed on the beach! A range of boards and lessons from qualified instructors are available, if required

Activity
Horse riding
If you prefer not to do all the work what better way to enjoy the scenery and tone up the muscles a bit than by horse. There are several horse riding schools around the island.

There are two very nice ones: One at Avlaki where Alison takes you on a ride through the Eremitis peninsular with its lovely sea views, another is in Kato Korakiana where Sally takes lovely rides through the countryside from her well-tended stables.
