Holiday Destinations – Italy
A country steeped in history, France is renowned for its fabulous food and wine, culture and beaches. From the romantic capital city of Paris to the stunning rural villages, it’s not hard to see why France is listed as the most visited country in the world.

Part of France’s charm is its eclectic mix of sights – in Paris, the fashion capital of the world, you will also find the iconic Eiffel Tower, the historic Notre Dame Cathedral and Disneyland. Head out of the cities and you will soon discover sandy beaches, snow-covered mountains and picturesque stretches of countryside. France is also known for its art, with many museums dotted throughout the country, including the world-famous Louvre.

Our villas in France are all located in the countryside of the sunny French Riviera, which is also home to stunning landscapes, cobbled old towns, modern art, Roman monuments and glittering resorts. The French Riviera has 120 miles of coastline to be explored, ranging from the pebbly shores of Nice to the expansive sandy stretches west of Antibes.

Best for…

  • • Romantic cities & sleepy rural towns
  • • Art museums & cultural sightseeing
  • • Authentic regional French cuisine
  • • Spectacular countryside scenery
  • • Bustling street markets
  • • French Riviera beaches

  • French Climate and When to Visit

France has a wide range of climates. Expect to find cold winters and hot summers in the east and centre, while the mountainous regions have snow for 3 to 6 months of the year. The western part of the country has modest temperatures and ample rainfall spread throughout the year, ideal conditions for vineyards!

The French Riviera, sheltered by the Alps, benefits from a Mediterranean climate all year round – temperatures rarely fall below 10°C in the winter and hit above 30°C in the summer. Summertime is inevitably busier on the coast, but full of events and festivals for you to sample some local culture.  If you prefer cooler temperatures and fewer crowds, the spring and early autumn months are ideal. From mid-October onwards the weather can start to turn, and some restaurants, attractions and museums may be closed – although you may still be rewarded with a few warmer days and fewer visitors.

    Villa Plus in France

All of our villas are ideally located inland within the French Riviera, amongst the countryside hills and olive trees. They are carefully selected so that you can unwind with everything you need to make a home from home, with the added luxury of your own private pool.

Staying in a villa in France allows you to sample the local lifestyle at your own pace. Start your day with a visit to the boulangerie to buy croissants for breakfast, or wander through the small towns, exploring the weekly markets where you can buy cheese, vegetables and other produce grown in the region.

Discover the gorges where you can walk, kayak or try canyoning, and enjoy the stunning vistas from the hillside villages. There are plenty of beaches to choose from too. In fact, visitors have been coming to this corner of the globe for years to get a tan and celebrity-spot.

Explore historic old towns, admire the stunning scenery and sample the delicious French cuisine on your villa holiday in the French Riviera.
