Our villas in Vidauban are set in the countryside, just a 5 minute drive from the village centre. If you can drag yourself away from the luxury of your own private pool, you can visit one of the many cafés in the village or take a stroll along the River Argens. This French Riviera holiday spot is surrounded by vineyards, so be sure to visit one of the wineries and taste the local rosé wine.
Local Markets and Shopping
Every Wednesday and Sunday morning you can visit the market in Vidauban and browse the selection of local products on offer. There is also a small collection of shops in the town, as well as a patisserie, supermarket and pharmacy.
Bars and Restaurants
Vidauban has a choice of local restaurants serving traditional French cuisine. The main square offers several options with outdoor dining in true alfresco-style, and there are a number of quaint cafés perfect for enjoying an afternoon coffee.
Plage Frejus is a wide sandy beach located 19 miles from the village of Vidauban. Here you will find a promenade with some restaurants and cafés, and sunbeds can be rented from the private beach club. Further along the coast, Plage d’Agay is located between Frejus and Cannes, where you can rent stand-up paddleboards and boats.
For an afternoon of family fun, head to Provence Aventure, an aerial adventure park located in Vidauban village. Here, the children can try zip lining, canopy walks and high ropes. There are also inflatables on the lake, perfect for splashing around on a hot summer’s day, as well as a couple of water slides and a trampoline area. Just outside of the village you will also find a tennis club, horse-riding and canoeing. Further afield, Azur Park is just outside of St. Tropez, with over 30 rides and attractions (including a crazy golf course) to keep the whole family occupied. The park is an evening affair, open from 8pm in the summer months.
Places of Interest
There are several vineyards dotted around the countryside surrounding Vidauban. The Domain des Feraud winery is known for its rosé, and worth a visit to sample a glass or two, and maybe pick up a bottle to take home. The Plaine des Maures, renowned for its pine and oak trees, is a nature park 10 miles from Vidauban, with several trails for hiking, biking and horse riding. Further afield, the glamorous resort of St. Tropez is 25 miles away, where you can easily while away a day celebrity spotting amongst the designer boutiques, or admiring the superyachts. Wander around the cobbled lanes and visit the 17th century La Citadel, a nautical museum offering stunning sea views. Visit on a Tuesday or Saturday to browse the local market.
