Sainte-Maxime is well stocked with shopping options, from the fantastic indoor market to boutiques across the resort. The indoor market, in the heart of the resort, is open every morning during the summer. Inside you’ll fine exquisite local produce including meats, cheeses and fruit, amongst the wide selection on offer, the perfect place to cater your evening BBQ. You’ll find several mini markets in and around the resort, with a variety of larger supermarkets located on the outskirts, around a 10 minute drive away.
You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to good quality restaurants in Sainte-Maxime. There is a great selection of delightful bistros, many of which are located along the waterfront of the Marina and beach, serving substantial salads, scintillating steaks and delectable deserts. Take a stroll along the promenade, where you’ll find a host of bars to enjoy a sun downer with a view.
French Riviera is well known for its incredible coastline and the beaches close to Sainte-Maxime don’t disappoint. Commanding a central location is the Plage du Centre Ville. With soft sand, beach bars and a sheltered position, it’s a great spot for families. Plage de la Nartelle, famed for its white sand and stunning blue water, is just a short drive from Sainte-Maxime. There are various smaller beaches to enjoy nearby as well, including Plage de Saudan, Plage de Champfluerri and Plage de la Croisette.
In and around Sainte-Maxime you’ll find some lovely children’s play areas as well as carrousels which operate during the summer months. For those with older children there are plenty of exciting activities to keep them entertained, from water sports to horse riding classes. A 10 minute drive from Sainte-Maxime is Aventure Famille, an adventure park, with activities such as treetop trails and laser tag on offer.
The French Riviera is overflowing with incredible towns, cities, historical monuments and beaches to discover and Sainte-Maxime is a perfect spot from which to explore. From Sainte-Maxime you can take one of the regular ferries to the glamorous town of Saint Tropez and enjoy lunch with a view. Heading north you have the incredible towns of Cannes and Antibes. Both are rich in culture and history and you’ll find some spectacular beaches along the way.
