Villa Description

Outside, the large, private pool is surrounded by fruit trees with sun loungers scattered around where you can sit back, relax and take in this tranquil setting . For your added enjoyment there is also a brick BBQ to cook up your favourite summer food.


Entrance

Access to this spacious property is through the gated drive, and past the orchard which this leads to the parking area. If you take a few steps from here, this takes you to the double front door.


Living space

The main entrance opens into a large open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. Ahead is the bright and airy lounge that has comfortable seating with patio doors leading out to the terrace and pool area. These doors welcome light from the outside creating a sense of calm and relaxation. Through the lounge is the dining area with a light wood table and 2 sets of patio doors which lead out to a large partially covered terrace with a dining area.


Kitchen

There is a well-equipped country style kitchen that has plenty of worktop space to create your meals and drinks. It has a side door that leads to a terrace.
Just off the kitchen is a utility room with all the useful resources you need to cater for your holiday.


Bedrooms and bathrooms

To the right of the kitchen are the steps to the split level sleeping spaces. On the lower ground floor there is a spacious twin bedroom and a separate shower room. On the upper ground floor there is a double bedroom that has patio doors that open out to a large terrace with steps leading down to the pool terrace and a separate bathroom. Continuing to the first floor you will find a further twin bedroom and double bedroom both with en suite shower rooms and patio doors that lead out to a good sized shared terrace - a great place to relax and embrace this fabulous setting. There is also a public balcony on the first floor where you can enjoy distant sea views.

Villa Location
Villa Marieleni is a fabulous 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa which is located just off the Coral Bay and St Georges road. This countryside villa stands in large grounds behind a walnut orchid. Just a short drive on the west coast leads to St Georges church and harbour that has a scattering of tavernas. If you head east you shall reach the popular resort of Coral Bay that has an array of cafes, bars, shops and restaurants, plus a sandy beach. This villa is a great choice for those seeking a relaxing retreat, and yet be close driving distance to the resort amenities.

Beaches

The nearest beach to Villa Marieleni is Coral Bay. This is the most popular beach in the Paphos district. It has a fine sandy beach with a scattering of shingle and rock that gradually meets the sea. On this beach there are 3 tavernas and toilet facilities.


Bars and restaurants

A short drive from the villa brings you to St Georges Harbour where there is a handful of charming tavernas with seafood very much the speciality. The main strip of Coral Bay that has a great choice of restaurants to try - from the local food to the traditional British food. There is also the village of Peyia that has a number of traditional tavernas. The beautiful harbour in Paphos also has an array of restaurants where you can also sample the "local catch of the day!"


Family fun

All forms of watersports can be found at Coral Bay Beach, as well as crazy golf. There is also the Akamas Peninsular, Paphos Bird and Wildlife Park, and horse riding stables that are all a short journey west which makes a great day out!


History

If you head for Paphos you shall reach the old town and its maze of narrow streets and local market. There is also the harbour with its medieval fort. A visit worth your while is Paphos Mosaics which is close to Paphos Castle and harbour. There are remarkable mosaics in the Houses of Dionysos, Theseus and Aion that have been preserved after 16 centuries under soil. The Pahos Mosaics are one of the most historic sites on the island of Cyprus.


Golf

If you fancy trying out your golfing skills then why not sample some of the golf courses Cyprus has to offer? There is Aphrodite Hills Golf Club that is located on the Rock of Aphrodite which is an 18 hole golf course. Or why not try Marios Golf Park? This is located 3¼ mile from the resort of Coral Bay and has a driving range, 9 hole course and mini golf.

Paphos Zoo
Formerly Paphos Bird and Animal Park, has expanded the zoo and have lots more animals now within its confine. There are tigers, giraffes, tortoise and lots of other beautiful animals to see. There are also bird shows several times and day and are great fun for all the family. There is an adoption scheme which would make an unusual and great gift to take back from your holidays. A free bus is provided by the Zoo from Coral Bay and Latchi.

Paliomonastrio Park
Paliomonastiro is located in the foothills of Peyeia in the vicinity of the ancient chapel. Set in extensive grounds with large lawned areas, and children’s play area. There is also a Taverna where you can order traditional meze, Cypriot cuisine, or just a cool drink to sit by the water features and decks.

Horse Riding
There are many horse riding stables across the length and breadth of the island. Most offer a range of treks for beginners or advanced riders. Depending on the district you may take a ride through pine clad forests or a sunset gallop along the seashore. The average cost will be approximately €55 per hour.

Water sports are available all over the island and charges on public beaches are approved by the Central Beach Committees. Prices do vary from resort to resort but, as a rough guide, windsurfers are approximately €10 per hour, jet skis €22 for 15 minutes, banana rides €5 for 15 minutes and ring rides €7 for 15 minutes.

Cosmic Bowling
Paphos Cosmic Bowling located between Old Town and Kato Paphos and offers many amenities such as a restaurant, cafe and bar, free internet use, children's play area, video games and other. The bowling arena has 18 lanes for play and you can have as many games as you wish. Cosmic Bowling is well maintained, bright and spacious with plenty of seating and table areas.
