What to do on a Polis villa holiday

The main town square has a small number of shops and a couple of bakeries where you can pick up your morning breakfast. Further on the outskirts you will find banks and a pharmacy, as well as a supermarket to stock up your Polis villa. In Paphos, approximately 50 minutes' drive away, there's a farmer's market in the old town and at the weekends, where you'll see the locals out and about. The King's Avenue Mall, in Paphos, also has several high street shops to browse.

Polis's main square is the place to come for experiencing some excellent cuisine - there are plenty of traditional tavernas, fish restaurants, cafes and bars. It’s a pleasant place at all times of the day from a morning coffee through to an evening dinner with traditional Cypriot music. Or why not head to Latchi, just a 5 minute drive away, where you can sit right by the harbour and enjoy stunning sea views while indulging in your meal.

Polis’s sweeping beach has bright golden sand with shallow turquoise waters, perfect for taking a dip in to the cool water and going for a swim or snorkelling. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols for hire as well as a range of watersports available including water skiing, wakeboarding and banana boats.

There are many other quieter spots along the coast, including the pebbly stretches at Chrysochous Bay, Argaka Beach and Rotiana Beach. Whilst facilities are limited here, they offer the same beautiful coastal views.

In Polis, visit one of the parks where you can enjoy a family picnic. Heading into Paphos, approximately 50 minutes' drive away, you can spend the day at the Aphrodite Waterpark which has rides and attractions to suit all ages. Alternatively, why not visit Paphos Zoo or head to Coral Bay, 40 minutes away by car, for a round of crazy golf?

The Akamas Peninsula is one of the most popular places to visit, with breathtaking lagoons and secluded bays – perfect terrain for a hike or cycling along the trails. Or why not opt for a jeep safari tour to marvel at the amazing scenery and watch the spectacular sunset.
