Villa Description

Swimming pool, pool terrace and sunbathing area

The outdoor space is great for lazing on one of the sunbeds or splashing in your own private pool. There is a dining table conveniently located under the shaded terrace, with the brick BBQ a few steps away - perfect for cooking and tasting your Cypriot meals. The pool's patio is pleasantly edged with small shrubs and flowers.

Entrance

The gated drive leads you to the front of the villa. There is a parking at one side of the house.

Living space

The open plan living area is full of natural light entering through numerous windows and patio doors. There are comfortable sofas and a small coffee table, as well as a flat screen TV. The dining table sits between the lounge and kitchen and is surrounded by two sets of patio doors. There's also a fully equipped kitchen with all the modern appliances.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

All 3 bedrooms are located on the first floor and have built-in wardrobes. There is 1 double bedroom with an en suite shower room and 2 twin bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have access to a shared balcony with pleasant sea views. There is a separate bathroom on this floor and a further shower room downstairs .

Villa Location

Villa Coral Athina is situated in a cul-de-sac with the shops, bars, restaurants and beach just a short walk away. This centrally located property is a great choice if you don't want to hire a car. The villa is located between 2 other Villa Plus properties - Semeli and Europa - making it ideal for families or groups who wish to holiday together but retain their own privacy. Villas Katina, Pandora, Dione, Hera and Coralli are on the same street too.

Local markets and shopping

The villa is located close to the Coral Bay main strip with all the shops on your doorstep. The lively town of Paphos is famous for its market and you can reach it in 20 minutes by car or a bus. There is a farmer's market in the old town of Paphos where at the weekends, you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as items such as lace, leather bags, olive oil products, souvenirs and other local items. There is another local market in Paphos, which is set in a maze of lanes selling an array of Cypriot fare including the local linen and lace. Or there's King's Avenue Mall, which has plenty of top shops under the same roof.

Bars and restaurants

If you are after a different restaurant every night then the famous Coral Bay Strip is the place to be! It is great if you want to sample Cypriot dishes in local tavernas or even if you are looking for international cuisine. The Strip is only a short walk away from the villa.

Beaches

Coral Bay beach is within walking distance from the villa. It also has sun loungers and parasols to hire and is the place to head for water sport thrills.

Family fun

Ithaki Amusement Park is situated in Coral Bay and with a mini-golf course, video games arcade and a cafe bar, it's ideal for a family day out. Paphos Zoo is a great place for all animal lovers. There are tigers, giraffes, tortoises and many other beautiful animals to see. There is also a bird show several times a day.

Places of interest

The village of Peyia is just a short drive away from the villa and there is a mix of old and new. In the heart of Peyia are the municipal gardens which are a popular venue for weddings and worth a visit. If you head east for Kato Paphos (the harbour) you will find some of the most intricate mosaics in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Golf

There are several golf courses in the Paphos area with Mario's Golf being the closest, which has a driving range, crazy golf and even foot golf. Alternatively, if you are looking for a 'real' round of golf, Tsada golf club would be another choice.

Other activities

The Akamas Peninsular is the perfect place for a hiking trip. The view from the top is amazing! A rocky path leads through Aphrodite Baths, where the Goddess of love used to shower. The path is very rocky; that's why comfortable shoes are necessary. A walk through the entire park can take a whole day or even a few if taking your time because there is so much to see!

Ithaki Amusement Park

Ithaki Amusement Park and mini golf is an amusement park including a mini-golf course, with video games arcade and a cafe bar. It's ideal for family pleasure and there is a play area for smaller children with swings and slides as well as a bar. Open 7 days a week from 9.00am - 12.00pm situated in Coral Bay just off the main strip. Telephone, 26 81 56 46.

Watersports

Water sports are available all over the island and charges on public beaches are approved by the Central Beach Committees. Prices do vary from resort to resort but, as a rough guide, windsurfers are approximately €10 per hour, jet skis €22 for 15 minutes, banana rides €5 for 15 minutes and ring rides €7 for 15 minutes.

Coral Bay Go karting

Coral Bay Go Karting provide a good time, safely. Open seven days a week from 10.00 in the morning till 11.00 at night located on main E701. This adrenaline packed sport is something to be experienced by all ages. Just imagine the fun and excitement as you race around our 500 meter track at high speed. The go-karts are for all ages ranging from beginners to professionals. Speeds are adjusted according to the experience of riders and beginners are firstly trained before the adrenaline ride begins. There are even Kiddy Karts which prove extremely popular.

Neo's Sport Club

Neo's Sport Club is a new venture it is the first independent Flat Green Bowls Club in Coral bay with 8 rinks available. There is also a fine dining restaurant, large bar with big screens which show all live sporting events, a roof top garden giving excellent unobstructed views along the coastline. The Sport's club is fully functional for disabled people, with a ramp into the main area and a lift to all floors. Open 7 days a week from morning till late. Horse Riding

There are many horse riding stables across the length and breadth of the island. Most offer a range of treks for beginners or advanced riders. Depending on the district you may take a ride through pine clad forests or a sunset gallop along the seashore. The average cost will be approximately €55 per hour.

Reptile and Bird Parks

There are several small reptile and bird parks in and around western Cyprus including Paphos Zoo. At these parks you are able to hold snakes and spiders plus look at the variery of birds making them a great way to show children these creatures close at hand.

St Georges/Sea Caves Resorts

This is generally a rugged, unspoilt stretch of coast right at the edge of the Akamas peninsular, which has undergone development but has still managed to its natural beauty. St Georges remains how it was, a small fishing harbour which has a small sheltered bay of sand and small pebbles gently sloping into the clear waters. There’s a handful of charming tavernas with seafood being their speciality and a very small church from the 6th century. Pay a visit and see the small ancient icons that people have visited for hundreds of years. You will see the stone floor has worn away over the years. It is also home to several bats but don’t be concerned as these are purely the fruit eating variety! The Sea Caves area is rich in legend and folklore.

Water Parks

The four most popular water parks on the island are the Aphrodite Water park in Paphos, Fasouri Water mania in Limassol, Water World in Agia Napa and The Fun Park in Protaras. All have special areas and rides for smaller children such as slides, fountains, water guns, and even a slippery octopus to climb. For the bigger children and brave and adventurous adults there are whirlpools, kamikaze slides, wave pools and water chutes plunging down into the darkness! They open daily at 10.00am from May to October.

Minthis Hills Golf Club

This course is situated about a 20 minute drive from Paphos. It is near Tsada village a few minutes drive off the main Paphos to Polis road. It is set in the grounds of a 12th century monastery. The 18 hole course was designed by Donald Steel.
It plays to a par 72 all green and measures 6.060 mts.

Excellent holiday! Villa Plus looked after us, with everything we needed to make our holiday special. We arranged transport from the airport through Villa Plus, it was so easy and trouble free. Great value for money and a great location. We will be booking with Villa Plus again soon.

This was our first villa holiday. The villa was exactly as described and pictured on the website. The location was fabulous, set in a quiet cul-de-sac but only a very short walk ( literally 5 mins) to the main strip. Pool area very spacious with good size pool. Free air-con in bedrooms a godsend especially in August !! All round excellent holiday & would not hesitate to book this villa again.

We were really pleased with the holiday villa - it was well equipped and maintained in a good condition. We really enjoyed our stay - the pool was cleaned halfway through the week and fresh towels provided by the maid. Lovely area, felt safe. Wished we could have stayed longer! Definitely recommend Villaplus to friends and family and will think of using you again!
