Villa Vincenat is the ideal combination of traditional and contemporary. This impressive 4 bedroom house has a large lawn and a great children's play area. Within a short walk you'll find a local mini market and restaurant, as well as several places to eat in the nearby town of Svetvincenat. Plus, a much greater choice of amenities, including beaches and cultural attractions, are all a short drive away in Rovinj. Villa Description

Swimming pool, garden, BBQ and games room

Villa Vincenat has a private swimming pool which is perfect for cooling off with a refreshing swim. Seperated by a gate is the shallower, circular childrens pool. The surrounding, partially covered terrace has plenty of space to relax or dine, and faces south ensuring a good amount of sunshine throughout the day. Younger children will love the play area, whilst the adults can enjoy the pool table and darts board in the games room, at the side of the house, by the BBQ.

Entrance

A private pebbled driveway provides ample space for your hire cars, with entry straight into the living area.

Living space

The open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen is modern in design, with a flat screen TV, comfortable seating, a table and chairs and large patio doors opening onto the covered dining terrace. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped, and has windows overlooking the pool and lawn.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The 4 bedrooms are split over both levels of the house. Downstairs is a traditional double bedroom with an en suite bathroom and impressive exposed stonework wall. The twin bedroom uses the facilities of the adjacent bathroom. On the first floor are 2 modern double bedrooms, both with an en suite shower room. Each of these bedrooms also has access to the shared balcony which has pleasant views over the pool, garden and local area.

Villa Location

Villa Vincenat is in a great countryside position, within the village of Bricanci, close to Svetvincenat and the larger coastal town of Rovinj. Its location is ideal for walking, cycling and enjoying country life whilst still being close to buzz of the town. There is a restaurant and a mini market within walking distance, as well as several more eateries to be found in Svetvincenat. Though a much larger choice of amenities, including beaches, can be found in Rovinj. Our Villa Bricio is a short distance away, perfect for two families or a large group who want some independence.

Local markets and shopping

The local mini market is around 15 minutes' walk away. Larger supermarkets and several quaint gift shops can all be found in Rovinj.

Bars and restaurants

There is a restaurant nearby serving local Istrian food, just 5 minutes' walk from the villa, as well as a number of pizzeria restaurants in Svetvincenat. The main town of Rovinj has a much larger choice of restaurants, cafes and bars, many overlooking the harbour and across the water to the church in the old town. Spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed from here over an evening meal or drink.

Beaches

The nearest beaches are in Rovinj, around 15 miles west of Villa Vincenat. The pleasant beach of Rabac is 20 miles east, on the other side of Istria.

Family fun

There is an adrenalin park, dinosaur park, and 2 water parks all within a short drive.

Places of interest

The Church of Saint Euphemia in Rovinj is a particular highlight of the resort. The church is on a hill and the walk up, along cobbled streets and past quaint local shops, is very pleasant indeed. Further afield, you can visit Pula's famous Amphitheatre, the Basilica in Porec, the Medieval walled town of Motovun and the Baredina Caves!

Golf

Brijuni Island has a golf course - you must travel by boat to the island from the town of Fazana, Pula.

Other activities

Cycling is very popular in Istria with well over 60 miles of marked routes to explore. Many of the resorts and beaches have water sport facilities too.

Activities and things to do

Church of St. Euphemia, Rovinj

Located in the heart of Rovinj, the Church of St. Euphemia has an impressive display of Baroque architecture and artwork and is also home to the sarcophagus of the patron saint of the city, St Euphemia herself!

Diving, Rovinj

A small number of diving centres can be found in Rovinj, all of which explore the wrecks, caves and underwater reefs of the area.

The SCUBA Valdaliso centre is right on the pier in Rovinj and offers a number of exploration areas as well as diving courses from Try SCUBA to Dive Control Specialist!

Other dive centres include Rovinj-SUB, Mediterraneum Mare Sport and Diving Centre Puffer, all of which offer similar facilities and underwater exploration.

Baredine Jama-Grotta Caves

The Baredine Caves in Porec are well worth a visit if you're looking for something a bit different to do during your stay. The caves are an underground maze of stalagmites and stalactites, forming structures such as the 10 metre long curtains, a statue of the Virgin Mary, the shepherdess Milka's body, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the snowman torchbearer! A guide will take you on a 40 minute tour of the caves, past the 66 metre deep hatch descending to the underground lakes. Certain varieties of insects and crayfish can also be found and there is a museum to explore as well. The Traktor Museum and climbing centre are next door.

Brijuni Golf Course

The island of Brijuni, just off of Fazana, Pula, is home to the National Park as well as a fantastic golf course. Buy your tickets at the Brijuni Tourist Service office in the town and catch the boat across to the island from the mainland.

Funtana Dino Park

Located in Funtana, just South of Porec, is the Funtana Dino Park. The park has a number of large moving dinosaurs, a café,, a zoo, a few theme park rides, a gift shop, an arena which stages magic shows, a circus and animal shows, a fossil safari, childrens play area and dinosaur museum!

Aquariums

Porec Aquarium is located in the Old Town, and has 24 aquariums with flora and fauna from the Adriatic coast, with roughly 80 different species.

A small but delightful collection of fish, Pula Aquarium is located on the ground floor of the Verudela Fortress on the Southern tip of the town. The aquarium is home to a variety of tropical and freshwater wildlife, as well as being the base of the Marine Turtle Rescue Centre.

The aquarium at Rovinj is inside the Maritime Research Centre of the Ruder Boscaron, Kovic Institute by the coast towards the North of the town, and has a good collection of marine wildlife.

Adrenalin Parks

Adrenalin Park Glavani, located in Barban, around 30 minutes drive North of Pula, is one of Croatia's largest adrenaline parks. Experienced staff will talk you through the different courses, starting with the 2 metre course, then the 6 metre and finally the 10 metre courses, both of the latter finishing in a 113 metre zip-wire! http://glavanipark.com/en/?lang=en

Both parks have a number of ropes, bridges, ladders and logs high in the trees to navigate through - a great family day out!
