Agios Stefanos, Corfu
One of the most popular resorts due to its attractive setting in a stunning bay, Agios Stefanos draws visitors back year after year. There is a choice of tavernas along the waterfront serving the catch of the day. The surrounding coastline has many small secluded inlets stretching along the north east coast of Corfu with little beaches that remain unspoilt largely because they have pebbles as well as sand. These villages have in the past survived through their fishing industry, and each has its own picturesque harbour, a few winding streets and a tavern or two.

Lourdas, Kefalonia
Like many villages on the island, the main part of this resort is slightly inland, built to resist coastal raids by marauding pirates. Lourdas is the part further down, home to one of the best beaches on the island. If you are travelling on the main road towards Kefalonia’s capital, Argostoli, you take a sharp left down a winding road down a steep hill. The village is halfway down and the beach and seaside part of the resort is a further trek down the hill after that.
