About Rhodes

Rhodes has spectacular ancient towns, stretches of beautiful coastline and is very popular with writers, artists and film directors, as well as tourists. The wonderful Greek island has a unique charm which makes it a firm favourite for holiday makers.

Historically, Rhodes is famous for the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The City of Rhodes’ Old Town is a world heritage site, and is a walled medieval city. This captivating city also has great character with winding alleys, home to an array of restaurants offering a wide choice of international cuisine, and traditional shops selling gold and silver jewellery, local honey and quality leather goods.
Apart from the history, this stunning island offers much more, including beautiful beaches and coastline, plenty of culture and lively nightlife. Whether you seek action or a relaxing time soaking up the sun, Rhodes caters for it all. Cruises to other islands are available, including Kos, Crete or even the Turkish city of Marmaris. Enjoy the wonders of the sea by snorkelling or scuba diving in the crystal blue waters, or for those who wish to take it a bit easier, discover the same sites on a glass bottom boat. You may even wish to climb Mount Attavyros, the island’s tallest mountain. With the long summer climate, and the relaxed Greek atmosphere, Rhodes is a perfect spot for any holiday maker.
