One word springs to mind when you think of Cala Dor in Mallorca (Majorca), Spain and that is 'chic'. Our Cala Dor villas at VillaPlus.com are located on the south east coast of Mallorca and it takes approximately one hour to get to Cala Dor from the airport at Palma. Once a former traditional fishing harbour, Cala Dor has developed into a modern marina, where people come to sail and dive. The impressive marina is right in the heart of Cala D'or attracting yachts and power boats from around the world and is a great place for people watching and maybe spotting a celebrity drinking in a waterside bar. Cala d’Or marina oozes wealth and the restaurants overlooking the marina are a good choice for an evening meal. Pleasure yachts and fishing boats can be hired from here or you may prefer to park your car in the centre of Cala Dor and walk to the beach as there is restricted parking around the coves.

Stay in one of our Cala Dor villas if you are looking for Majorca beach villas - Cala Dor has seven fine sandy coves and beaches including Cala Gran beach, set in a pine-clad cove with a fine sandy beach and clear waters – one of the largest and most popular beach in the centre of Cala D’or. Most of the beaches offer watersports facilities, including sailing, diving, windsurfing and more. The centre of Cala Dor has a pretty pedestrian area with a varied selection of shops; international restaurants and cosmopolitan pavement cafes where you can relax on a warm Mediterranean summer evening and watch the world go by. The Spanish people are very welcoming and lots of bars cater for families with children's activities including large TV's and video shows. A good way for tourists to see the resort is to take one of the mini trains which stop near most of our Cala Dor villas. Visit the Sunday morning market in the nearby town of Felanitx – it's one of the best in Mallorca, well worth a visit and a good place to purchase some local pottery as a souvenir of your stay in one of our Mallorca villa rentals. Barter in Spanish (Espanol ) and try and pick up a bargain!
