Once a sleepy fishing village, Playa Blanca has grown considerably into a bustling, tourist centre but still maintains its original charm. There is a relaxed atmosphere throughout this Spanish resort with the entire sea front pedestrianised, meandering by sandy coves, shops, bars and restaurants. A few bars offer live music and a night club is nestled on the rocks. There are family friendly beaches with sunbeds, water sports, dive centres and refreshment stands plus spectacular views of Fuertaventura. In fact Playa Blanca offers easy access by ferry with up to 12 crossings a day taking less than 30 minutes.
