Various - Celebrated all over the island with picnics and flowers. Homemade colourful wreaths are displayed outside houses and flowers are placed on the windscreens of cars. As a Kefalonian tradition, a clove of garlic is placed into the flowers to protect the house from bad luck, and ward off ill fortune and the evil eye.

Monastery of the Holy Cross Kipouria, Estavromenos Monastery Pessada. This is the day the Cross will be decorated with basil and basil is given to parishioners to take home.

Omala Valley - Morning service with procession to Holy Well accompanied by the band of Argostoli and visiting dignitaries.
