VillaPlus.com’s experienced UK and overseas staff, representing over 250 years
of travel industry experience, have been working around the clock since
Friday 12th September to help over a 1000 of our clients who have been affected by
the collapse of the UK’s third largest tour operator XL Leisure Group Plc, which
incorporated XL Airways UK Limited.

700 families were on their VillaPlus.com
holidays in the Algarve, Corfu, Kefalonia, Cyprus, Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca,
Menorca, Mallorca and Lanzarote when the collapse was announced with 44
families due to fly back to the UK with XL Airways.

All of our clients who were in resort at the time of the collapse have now been repatriated back to the UK.

Our Overseas Representatives were at the airport
to assist clients being repatriated to the UK by the Civil Aviation Authority
and also visited those clients already in the resorts who were due to fly home
in the coming days and weeks.

In the UK, our Reservations Team were busy manning the phones and helping over
hundreds of clients who were due to fly out imminently with XL Airways to find
alternative flight arrangements.

We have now been successful in re-protecting
all of the flights for bookings affected by the collapse of XL. 10% of our
clients have had to cancel due to the collapse and have received a full refund
under our ATOL protection.
