The cuisine in Cyprus is a mixture between the
typical Mediterranean and Middle Eastern areas.
Meat, fish, vegetables and olive oil feature mainly
in the Cypriot menu. International food is also
readily available ranging from Italian to
Japanese. Undoubtedly the best way to sample
the flavours of Cyprus is to dine on the "Meze", a
feast of around 24 varied dishes leaving no room
for anyone to be disappointed or hungry.

During the summer months, there are several festivals such as the Strawberry festival, the
Flower festival and the Limassol wine festival. Each year there are operas and dramas at the
medieval Fort of Paphos. Cyprus is also one of the main destinations for weddings and is fast
becoming a firm favourite amongst golfers with the new and improved courses, as well as
being host to the Cyprus Rally. |

The autumn is always a firm favourite with repeat guests to the island. The sea is still warm,
the climate still superb and yet the humidity lowers to give a pleasant coolness to the
evenings. |
