Children sport in Cyprus

Children are welcome all over the island. Cypriot hospitality ensures a warm greeting.
Whilst most children are at their happiest with a bucket and spade to build fine sand castles or to bury Dad, there are plenty of places to visit to occupy them for hours.
Why not try the Ostrich Wonderland Theme Park twenty-five minutes from Nicosia, the Donkey Sanctuary near to Limassol, the aquariums in Paphos and Protoras, the bird park in Paphos or the Camel Park in Larnaca?
There are mini-golf sites in most resorts. For a day of adventure perhaps try a day out on a pirate ship from Paphos harbour. There is much to see and do.

WATER PARKS

The four most popular water parks on the island are the Aphrodite Water park in Paphos, Fasouri Water mania in Limassol, Water World in Agia Napa and The Fun Park in Protoras. All have special areas and rides for smaller children such as slides, fountains, water guns, and even a slippery octopus to climb. For the bigger children and brave and adventurous adults there are whirlpools, kamikaze slides, wave pools and water chutes plunging down into the darkness! They open daily at 10.00am from May to October.

BOAT TRIPS

Such trips are being organised from all resorts from April to November.
From Paphos sail eastwards along the coast towards the famous Akamas peninsula with its beautiful bays of Coral Bay, Corallia Bay and Lara Bay, the natural nesting area of the green turtle caretta_caretta. Lunch with local wine is served on board.

JEEP SAFARI

From Paphos. Drive through the local traditional villages to the Akamas peninsula earth roads in four-wheel drive jeeps. Drive by the Lara Bay, Fontana Amorosa, turtle nesting place, to the Avakas GORGE. On the way you will enjoy your lunch in the heart of the Akamas forest and have time to swim in the crystal sea waters of the area. Alternatively, clients may join the mountains safari with panoramic views and glimpses of local traditions and rural life in the surrounding mountain villages.

REPTILE AND BIRD PARKS

There are several small reptile and bird parks in and around western Cyprus including Paphos Bird Park. At these parks you are able to hold snakes and spiders plus look at the variery of birds making them a great way to show children these creatures close at hand.
