Pre 1975, the main resorts were concentrated at the eastern end of the island (Famagusta) and in the
North (Kyrenia). After the occupation by Turkey, the only main resort left in the tourism business was the
area around Ayia Napa. Since then virtually the whole of the south and west coast has developed.
We have concentrated our programme in the west end of the island, but it is well worth a visit for a day
out. The main holiday resorts are set out along the south and west coasts. Every resort has its own style and
flavour. They range from sleepy fishing villages to larger, more lively, cosmopolitan areas.
In the East there are the resorts of Paralimni, Protoras and Ayia Napa. These are well known for their sandy beaches
and lively night-life. Larnaka and Limassol are large cities with all the facilities and shops that cosmopolitan cities
can offer. Paphos until ten years ago was a small fishing village, but is now a thriving all year community with shops,
bars and restaurants for everyone.
With vast improvements in infrastructure it takes a mere three hours to drive from end to end of the island and so it
is easy to choose a destination to give your holiday a change of pace.
To experience another dimension of Cyprus, head
inland to the Troodos Mountains, home of our very own Mount Olympus. The lower slopes of the Troodos alternate between
terraced vineyards and the Phoenician juniper found in abundance near the coast, sprinkled in places with pink rock
rose and wild lavender.
We hope you will enjoy browsing our brief description of each resort and then be able to
choose the resort that you would prefer for your holiday. If you would like further information, please call us
