Golf Courses In Croatia

There are 2 golf courses in Istria, the most popular being the Adriatic Golf Club North of Umag, by the border into Slovenia, although this is also the most tricky to navigate as this area of coast is very windy. Both courses have fabulous views, being by the sea.

Or try your hand at Aqua Golf – where else can you hit golf balls into the sea on purpose?!

Brijuni Golf Course

The island of Brijuni, just off of Fazana, Pula, is home to the National Park as well as a fantastic golf course. Buy your tickets at the Brijuni Tourist Service office in the town and catch the boat across to the island from the mainland.

Adriatic Golf Club

North of Umag, around 45 minutes drive from Porec, is the Adriatic Golf Club located in an area called Crveni Vrh. Opened in 2009, this course has 18 holes over 6360m, 80 acres, although there is a shorter course at 4690m, and was designed by the famous Austrian architects Diethard Fahrenleitner and Barbara Eisserer. Only 300m from the sea, the course has fabulous views over the water as well as the nearby vineyards, olive groves and rich green countryside.

Aqua Golf

Aqua Golf is similar to a normal driving range…apart from the balls are hit into the sea! The balls used are designed to float and are gathered by the floating fences where they are easily retrieved. All ages are catered for and the charges vary depending on how many balls you’d like. You can also play at night with the targets being lit!
