If you decide to rent a villa in Spain and want to try our Marbellan villas then one of the most popular areas to visit is the 'Golden Mile' that runs from Marbella to the chic town of Puerto Banus. Our Villa Rio Verde is a spacious 5 bedroom property that is located less than a mile from Puerto Banus and just 25 yards away from the soft sandy beach. As you head along the coastal road the first thing you will notice about Puerto Banus is the luxurious marina where you will see expensive yachts and fantastic cruisers from all over the world. You can be sure to spot Bentleys and Rolls Royce's gliding along the quayside while you might even recognise a famous face or two in this trendy, upmarket resort. Our Marbella villas give you great access to this neighbouring resort where you will find stylish boutiques, designer clothes shops, fashionable bars and top quality restaurants. While if you are looking to pick up some holiday souvenirs every Saturday morning near the bull ring there is a popular street market.

A large villa in Spain is also great for those who enjoy a round of golf as there are several courses in the vicinity of our Marbella villas making them the perfect base for a golfing holiday. There are courses suitable for every level of player with La Quinta - three courses each with 9 holes - considered to be one of the easiest while Marbella Golf Course is recognised as one of the most difficult in the Costa Del Sol. If you are looking to play a round late in the evening then Dama Na Noche, located just off the 'Golden Mile' is a unique club that offers 24 hour access due to its floodlit course. If you want to try the Costa del Sol's most famous course then head to Cadiz where you will find Valderrama golf course. Home of the 1997 Ryder Cup it has beautifully cared for greens and manicured fairways and has been played on by such greats as Seve Ballesteros and Tiger Woods – a word of warning this course is only for the more accomplished players.

If you decide to rent a car when trying our Marbella villas then around 15 miles away is the town of Mijas which is a great day out for any family. It is home to one of the most popular waterparks on the coast and boasts a huge kamikaze slide, a wave pool, a labyrinth slide and a 300ft adventure river raid. For younger children there are two water playgrounds and a shallow activity pool while the park also has restaurants as well as picnic and barbecue areas. The town of Mijas is also worth exploring with its whitewashed houses, tiny plazas, delightful churches and craft shops. This is also a great place to try a traditional Spanish tapas bar which will serve some fantastic fresh fish dishes.
