Estepona is a traditional but expanding, Spanish seaside town in Costa Del Sol. The lengthy promenade overlooks the popular beach where there is safe bathing for families, with good facilities. La Rada Beach is quite expansive and the marina is located at the west end of this beach. Estepona itself has many interesting corners and it is worthwhile exploring those cobbled, narrow streets leading off the sea front. There are numerous cafes and Spanish tapas bars serving traditional dishes such as paella and fresh sardines or international style dishes. Shopping facilities are excellent and you will also find some unusual shops in Estepona with reasonably priced goods. The Plaza de Las Flores is one of the prettiest squares set in the heart of Estepona, where you can enjoy an ice cream or coffee at one of the many bars in this pretty flower covered square. In the Plaza del Reloj you will see the 15th century clock tower – all that remains of the church built by Henry 1V. The Marina is a pleasant place to stroll on your holiday and view the magnificent boats which are moored here. At night the port comes alive with night clubs and discos. If you are an early riser, watch the fishermen returning from their trips and unloading the catch at the quay. On Sundays there is a busy tourist market in the port. For those that like to be active on their villa holiday in Costa del Sol, the coastline offers a variety of water sports and fishing trips whilst Estepona itself has a range of entertainment during the summer months, including leisure, sporting and cultural activities. Estepona even has its own bullring. If you like to relax on your villa holiday with a round of golf, Estepona is very proud to have 8 excellent golf courses surrounding the town.
