There is so much to explore, whether you plan to relax on any of the numerous beaches lapped by the Mediterranean or venture inland to explore some of the traditional and charming 'white villages' perched on the hills of the nearby sierras, you will be amazed at its beauty. By travelling as little as 10 miles inland, you will see another world, another face of Andalucia where the scenery changes dramatically, where the countryside is less congested and where you might even need some basic Spanish!

The provincial city of malaga, forgotten by the majority of visitors to the Coast makes for a fabulous and interesting day out, and could include a visit to Picasso's birth place and a tasty tapa lunch at one of the traditional bars in the city. The Rock of Gibraltar is an easy journey from the coast, steeped in history and culture which could be combined with a dolphin watching trip. The historical inland town of Ronda should be a visit on everyone's list and of course the 'jet set' resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus are a must for people watching.

Because of it is perfect all year round climate, the region is renowned for its excellent sporting facilities. Whether you play golf or tennis, paddle tennis or enjoy water sports, there are first class installations all along the coast. You can even sunbathe on Torremolinos beach in the morning and ski in Granada in the afternoon - you can't beat that can you?
With so many restaurants of all nationalities as well as Spanish you will always find an enjoyable meal. Fish is particularly good on the coast, freshly caught and well cooked in typical ways. Paella is a Sunday lunch favourite with the locals as you will see at any of the beach side restaurants. Traditional tapas bars should be explored too for that pre lunch snack!
