A theme park must is Terra Mitica – Benidorm's main tourist attraction with something for all ages, whether you like to feel an adrenalin rush or don't want to get the heart racing too much, there's a ride for you. Enter Terra Mitica and it feels like you're in Egypt rather than Costa Blanca, with pyramids and the River Nile. Take a gentle ride down the river and look at all the tempting rides you can go on. The theme park is based around the ancient Mediterranean civilisations such as Greece and Rome. The scariest ride is Skynkope, a giant wheel holding 70 people which spins and swings at the same time – you will be screaming at the same time too! Have fun on the Mitikarts, a race track for speeders and there's a younger version for the little ones to have a turn. Be scared to death in the haunted house by mummies and pharaohs (you'll be holding on to your own mummy as you scream!). Just a few of the attractions at Terra Mitica – you might have to make two visits from Costa Blanca villas to spend time here as there are loads to do.

Trips out from Costa Blanca villas include Mundomar, also in Benidorm, where the kids won't know what to look at first. You'll be able to see dolphins, sea lions, parrot shows and a giant aquarium. Or worth a visit is Safari Vergel near Denia where you can drive through the park in your car as if you’re on safari. Spot lions, leopards, jaguars and tigers – there's playgrounds, go-karts, trampolines, boats and a number of restaurants where you can grab some lunch and recharge your batteries before heading off to see snakes and seals. Back at Costa Blancan villas it won't take long for the kids to crash out for the night dreaming of which cool places to go to the next day.
