Nerja has a number of cultural events which take place during the year, the most acclaimed, being the Nerja Cave Festival which takes places amongst the stalactites, and stalagmites which have formed over millions of years. Not far and located inland from Nerja is the beautiful village of "Frigliana", a picturesque white village that is steeped in history which will allow you to experience the traditional village way of Andalucian life.
