Where we have categorised our villas as Car useful or Car essential, we genuinely
believe that a car will at the very least enhance your holiday as it enables you
to access local amenities, freely explore all beaches, eat out at local restaurants,
enjoy recreational facilities and visit places of interest. Even where we say a
car is not required, consideration should be given to getting just one small vehicle.
You may find that a taxi transfer to and from your villa may cost almost as much
as a hire car.
We can offer competitive rates for car hire. Like our villas,
all our car rental companies are carefully chosen to offer value for money. Our
suppliers are reliable and conveniently located in each of our recommended gateway
airports. Our prices ensure that no CDW excess is payable (unless aged 21 - 25 years
inclusive). When doing price comparisons with other car hire companies, please ensure
that you include any CDW or insurance waivers as these can be up to an additional
€5.00 per day.
Car hire must be pre-booked in the UK. An extra deposit is not required
when you book, but the full amount must be paid with the holiday balance. Cars can
either be collected at the airport or delivered to your villa. (There will be a
charge for delivery to the villa - circa €20.00). Roof racks are no longer available.
Child seats where available cannot be guaranteed and any costs are paid
locally. If in doubt, please bring your own.
Each car group has a range of
different makes and the cars are booked by the group type and not specific makes.
We reserve the right to substitute any car for a similar superior grade. Minimum
driving age is 21 (25 years in Cyprus unless full licence held for 3 years) but
drivers aged 21 to 25 must pay a CDW excess deposit. Prices are in £sterling and
are per car per week. If your rental period crosses a date band, for example from
June to July, you will be charged pro rata. Cars cancelled prior to 12 weeks before
departure will be charged at £15.00 per week after which our normal cancellation charges
apply. In Spain, spectacle wearers must carry a spare pair of glasses at all times.
Comprehensive insurance does not cover any damage to tyres, wheels, sump, clutch
(unless fair wear and tear) and the underside of the car.
