Easter Sunday
Sao Bras de Alportel - Watch the colourful procession as the locals carry poles decorated with flowers to the chant of 'Hallelujah' which marks the Resurrection of Christ. The Streets come alive with music and a prize is given out for the best flower torch.

May, June and July
Various locations - During the months of May, June and July the Algarve becomes the capital of music with various types of music from all over the world. In fact there's is an array of concerts and shows to suit all tastes. From Symphony concerts and town music to opera, recital and dance music, there’s bound to be something to suit you.

July
Lagos - Watch the local sweet artisans compete to make the best 'work of art' out of Marzipan. See how they make and sculpt the marzipan into various shapes to make their master pieces. Visit the many tents filled with sweets and sample the local treats. Great fun and a good night out.

August
Portimao - Enjoy the freshly caught Sardines that are grilled in their thousands by the quayside as well as the array of culinary delights, wines and beers on offer. There's live music and concerts every night which continue into the small hours. A lovely way to spend a summer’s evening with friends and family.
